There are signs telling of future renovation plans. Well, they cant start soon enough. This Residence Inn is in poor shape. Cleanliness is lacking. My room had either dust or mold on all the air vents as well as the return air. Yuck! The ice maker was not operating in the refrigerator. I asked where there was an ice machine because it didnt work and was told there wasnt one and that it wouldnt be fixed until the renovation. I advised that ii'm paying premium prices for this room and that answer was unsatisfactory. I have stayed at many Marriott properties, but never have I experienced such a run down property. Carpets are worn through. Some windows are fogged because they have lost their argon gas. The selection for breakfast was pitiful. Next ti.e in Branson i will go back to the Castle. Half the price and mych better property.

I received a call today while driving down to the hotel. The call from the hotel was to inform me that they overbooked because it is one of there busiest weekends. I was then told that they were NOT able to keep our two bedroom reservation and would be putting us into two, one bedroom rooms. I booked a two bedroom suite for a reason as i was traveling with three kids and wanted everyone in the same room. This is UNACCEPTABLE. I have stayed with Marriott for 20+ years and NEVER been treated like this.

"Stay Away!!!"

This hotel is very rundown and needs updated! We stayed 4 nights. The mattress cover and fitted sheet did not fit the bed so each night we had to wake up and fix it in the middle of the night. Never once was our room serviced. We were told that was part of the deal. Each time we needed towels, toilet paper or coffee, we had to go to the front desk and get it. Desk help was not overly friendly. The shower door did not shut and soaked our floor after every use. Our ice maker did not work and the hotel does not have a commercial one available for guests so with the 105 heat and no ice was not convenient at all!

We have stayed at many beautiful Marriott Hotels. This hotel was like Motel 6. Actually that might have been nicer. From the front entry to the back door entry it was filthy dirty on day one and three days later it was still that way. Our room had hairs in the shower and bathroom. There were drips down the sofa and the bed skirt. I had to wear shoes in the room it was so dirty. The front desk person told us there were no additional rooms to move to. The next day we met a new person who helped us to move.

"Housekeeping needs a checklist and more supervision"

Hotel is old, but the lack of cleanliness is the main issue. Bathtub / shower is dirty; shower door doesn’t close so water got all over the bathroom floor; spare sheets for couch were not in bag in closet, but someone’s previous hangar and grape stems were (see photo). I could go on… I chatted with front desk and asked if housekeeping was available to fix the issue. They all left at 3 and he couldn’t give me anything to clean up myself (understandable, but frustrating). Branson was pretty sold out and nothing else available that would fit our family. I was offered to switch rooms but after driving 10 hours today, we didn’t have the energy and figured that room hadn’t been cleaned properly either. Unfortunately, this hotel doesn’t live up to Marriott standards consistently (just read prior reviews to confirm this is not an isolated event).

Was told by a very rude female employee that our room was not ready and she didn’t know when it would be, even though it was check in. Waited two hours after check in for our room with a 10 month old who was tired of the car and needed a nap. Called the front desk to inform them of this and was told it still wasn’t ready and they didn’t know when it would be. With a screaming 10 month old, my husband and I had to figure something else out so we cancelled the room. We were still charged 80% of the room cost. Would NOT recommend this hotel. Also, the lobby was so so very hot. I can only imagine what the rooms are like.

"If we visited again we would probably stay somewhere else."

Location was right in the middle of everything we needed. Breakfast was good.

AC was iffy most nights, cleaning of room and towels wasn’t the best - we often had to ask for those things to be replenished. Upkeep of the room was lacking, handle on door was loose, door lock got stuck often. We were 30 minutes late for our scheduled check in and they almost gave our room away. Only checked us in for one night and the lady told us to come down in the morning to check with a manager. She was very unhelpful and didn’t seem worried. Thankfully I stayed around and a manager was there that helped us.

Friendly staff great breakfast

Found a roach in our entryway of our room when we walked in the 2nd day of stay. The shower door was off on one side and they had put a partial curtain instead which would not stay in place and water leaked all over the floor. This was the second time we stayed at this location with water leaking out from shower onto bath floor. I reported to the front desk and nothing was done to compensate us, just that they are under new management and they are discussing replacing showers.
