It’s a four star hotel. I’m not sure what makes it a four star hotel. I checked in on a busy Sunday. I’m a human being, so I can understand that. When I got to my room however, it looked nice and modern, but then I noticed there were crumbs all around the bed and it looked like the room had not been swept. I called the front desk to ask for a room change. They said they are at capacity and cannot but they will have house keeping come clean it. I explained that I chose the hotel for cleanliness and this was disappointing. They said they are calling housekeeping and someone should ‘be there soon’. I then went down to the front desk to see if I could get a more timely resolution to the issue. Again, I was told they are going to contact housekeeping - to which I said, someone called for me five minutes ago. The concierge proceeded to call housekeeping and it didn’t seem like they knew anything about the issue. A half hour passed and no one came so I went to the pool. When I got back, I called the front desk and spoke to the manager who said that they are REALLY busy and someone will come. I said, listen, I just want it clean, I’m happy to clean it myself if someone gives me a bro - if it were my house, it would be clean. Finally about two hours later a housekeeper came and swept up all the crumbs. Later that night I realized that I had forgotten toothpaste. At a four star hotel I would have expected there to be complimentary tooth paste, but there wasn’t. So I called the reception and was told: sorry we were super busy and ran out. Normally I would have run out to get my own. But I had already made a trip to cvs to purchase adequate shampoo and body wash. The next morning - magically they had toothpaste again and the team was confused why I was told there wasn’t any the previous night.

Rooms are dirty, mirrors not cleaned. Showers not wiped down floors not swept, light switches dirty. Multiple things in room needing simple repairs from tightening of faucets, replacement/tightening of screws on armoire and mini fridge, and the phone next to our bed beeping every 10 minutes. Stayed here 3 nights, did not get cleaned the first night. Ended up taking out our own garbage and making our own bed. Had to beg for new towels, TWICE before they were brought to our room, with attitude. We were not given a welcome talk or told about the property. We had to lean from another guest that there was an adults only pool on the roof. Other pools were mildly dirty, not a single hot tub worked. There were apparently employees who were supposed to hold the doors open but we're always in conversation with each other and opened a door I was already though. We contacted our travel agent about most of these concerns, while she was in conversation with the manager (Lavars), they denied everything being said. If you are coming here to relax and hoping for a worry free time, this is not the H̶o̶t̶e̶l̶ motel for you.

Being a very friendly and positive person who travels a lot I have never come across such rude customer service … if you want a nice stay in Miami do not stay in this hotel !!

We had a really enjoyable stay at Grand Beach Surfside and overall it was a great experience. The hotel is in a fantastic location, with easy beach access and beautiful views that made our trip feel special. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The pool and beach areas were especially relaxing, and the overall atmosphere was calm and welcoming. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that there were a few small areas where service or facilities could have been a little more consistent. That said, we had a wonderful time and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for a relaxing beach getaway.

Etty at the restaurant was the best part of our stay. She was so helpful and happy the whole time. Will definitely be coming back because of her!!
