Harborside at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina

We had a great time. Ice Skating, bouncy houses, Christmas craft were a hit! Smores by the fire pit. Free ice cream every day! Hot chocolate in the lobby! Heated pool! Shuttle into town! All were amazing! Kaley in the gift shop is super-duper! This property is perfect for families!

Rooms are in need of repair and updating. 1st room (403) no air conditioning. 2nd room air conditioning didn't work either. 2nd morning we had maintenance in there for repairs. Come to find out the chiller that provided cold water for the entire system was offline. No AC for who knows how many rooms. Shower diverter broken (lucky to find warm water), sink faucet falling off, soap dispenser pulled from the wall and never replaced, no shampoo, conditioner or body wash in the shower, toilet seat falling off, hole in the balcony sliding screen door, antiquated tv. Requested to check out 1 day early due to the circumstances and was told I would still be responsible for the 3rd day. No compensation offered. This was not an isolated incident. Others were complaining at the front desk as well. Grounds, staff including maintenance and location were great. Room renovations would make this place unforgettable. Had high expectations to be extremely disappointed.

First room the AC did not work. Was already unpacked and then had to pack back up and move everything to another room. When asked if I could be compensated with at least a better room they informed me that nothing was available. Nothing was compensated. Second room, the AC consistently ran and was loud, the bathroom door did not close all the way.
