Vinland Hotel and Lounge

The facility itself was a little old, but fine. Some questionable cleanliness in the room itself. Our room had a balcony with a sliding door which was nice, but I couldn’t enjoy mine because other guests were being allowed to chain smoke marijuana on their balcony. I had to keep my slider closed the whole time and even then my room stank at all hours of the day and night. The hotel claimed to be a smoke-free location, but this experience was miserable for me because of my allergies. The staff was 50/50. Two of the staff were friendly and helpful. The other two were rude and not helpful. The latter told me that he didn’t know what I was talking about when I asked for a “Do not disturb” sign, as our room was not provided one-though the neighboring rooms had them. I was also told I could check out via text, but when I did I received no reply or confirmation. I was never provided any kind of receipt or invoice. I have since requested one through the website contact form, but still haven’t received anything. I have expressed my concerns about the problems with my stay and nobody has reached out. Pretty disappointing considering the price I paid.

Location close to town. Parking covered. Beds comfortable.

First rooms A/C sounded like jet engine, told no other rooms, but eventually found something. Second room found at 3am there was not heat out of A/C. Staff did not try to discount room for poor maintenance. 7am, on site construction to wake up to :-(

It was difficult to find parking at this hotel. They had a Happy Hour from 4-6 in the lounge plus music on Thursdays from 6-9. We found it was an extremely small space since it was cold outside. We thought some of the other choices in the area were better suited to our needs.

The staff was great! The room was really clean and beautiful overall would totally stay here again. I felt safe which is my favorite part! Loved the text message feature for requesting towels and toilet paper. Parking was really convenient. The pool area was beautiful.

The carpet was pretty dirty didn't look dirty but after walking on it barefoot it could use a bath. Also the jacuzzi had some not so cute stuff floating about.

Location was perfect to everything in Solvang. We really enjoy the opportunity to get up to just walking distance to Center of town as well as all the shops.

Evening was really good.

Great location. We had a suite with an awkward layout - the Westerly Suite. The staff was super friendly. Rick in the V Lounge was fun, made great drinks, and gave us wonderful local recommendations.
