Extended Stay America Suites - Detroit - Madison Heights

Had issues with the toilet and the mattress in the pullout need to be changed but overall stay was great room was clean not complaints I would definitely stay there again.

I stayed here in February and had an exceptionally negative experience. I booked this hotel again because of the location and its pet-friendliness. I had a really nice room this time (compared to the one before). Staff were pleasant and cordial (unlike before). The grab-and-go breakfast was in effect (unlike before, when a lazy employee didn't bother to set it up or provide creamer and sweeteners). The coffee was surprisingly good! I really like the full-size refrigerator and kitchenette. Being totally pet-friendly is one on their greatest assets.

Staff were exceedingly pleasant, but they still have a tendency to disappear from the desk and go I don't know where. I had to holler "hello!" several times in an attempt to get a washcloth, and still, nobody came to the desk. Perhaps a little bell or buzzer on the counter to get their attention?
