Extended Stay America Suites - Detroit - Madison Heights

I travel a lot both locally and out of state for business and in between projects so saving money and accommodations are top priority. First time staying at this brand and location and I’m sold! If you can find another comfy extended stay hotel surrounded by restaurants, fast food, and gas stations within walking distance, a stove top and full size fridge AND dishes and cookware that’s CLEAN for less than $75 you’re making it up lol. Seriously tho. Very clean rooms, incredibly nice and helpful staff both day and night shift, secure building and even the guests were nice. I 100% recommend! 10/10. Any issue I had initially was quickly and correctly solved within minutes.

Great staff

The beds and the rooms were clean and the staff were courteous.

Breakfast is just small muffins, nutrition bars, coffee and tea. It is not a breakfast in a true sense.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the first room and they moved us to another room. The amenities were bare (hard to get extra bedding, etc.) but the staff tried. We traveled with our dog and everyone (staff and other guests) were very dog friendly.

The hotel and rooms were very worn out and old. Much of the place smelled - particularly of marijuana and incense. I've never stayed anywhere where I couldn't get an extra blanket and you had to request each kitchen appliance or cookware separately.

Booked 3 rooms for 3 couples. My room’s garbage can was left full with rotten food in it. The other room has a water puddle in the kitchen area and the bedside lamp not working. Manager at least give me a full refund for my room, but it took a follow up call and 1o days to get it.
