Shell Island Resort - All Oceanfront Suites

Great location with the easy beach access. Rooms were nicely decorated. The views were spectacular!

There were issues that required multiple phone calls for maintenance.

Ocean front room, bed was extremely comfortable,

Was not able to watch any movies in the bedroom because the televisions were outdated, non functional remotes. Paying premium prices for two nights, this suites should have had better streaming tvs. My husband and I were very disappointed.

I was told that the pull out couch would be turned down and made with blankets and pillows (I requested) when we arrived it was not. Upon our arrival at the room we were assigned the door was propped open, and a wet paint sign was hanging on the door frame. As we are standing there in the corridor, calling the front desk, to inquire about it, maintance walks into our room, and looked at us oddly. He spoke with the front desk on my personal cell. The room smelled strongly of paint and was very humid and hot. It took the entire weekend to cool down, the smell never went away. The next morning (Saturday) at 7 am we were still In Bed sleeping, and our room door just opens, someone with a key card opened it, no knock nothing and they walk in. I said “hello?” From the bedroom, and whomever it was stops walking and is silent- then says, I didn’t know this room would be occupied. And left. The coffee pot is a dinosaur, and needs to be upgraded. We had to go to the front desk several times to ask for coffee and creamer. There wasn’t adequate supplies in the room (coffee, creamer, filters) Only two bath towels were provided, for our group. This was an expensive stay, for so many unpleasant and concerning issues.
