"Superb"

Beautiful place, very clean and welcoming. Perfect for us. We even lit the fire. Our stay was very relaxed and cosy.

The clock on the tower woke me up a few times, but I am a light sleeper.

"Well kitted out, comfortable place"

An excellent place to stay, once you find the way in. A brightly lit (natural) kitchen with everything you might need. Upstairs is a comfortable lounge and bedroom. All warm, comfortable. And a very interesting ensuite. The instructions are well written and helpful. James is very responsive. I am so pleased I chose The Pavement Palace.

"The perfect pavement palace!"

Location was outstanding! It couldn't be better placed in Hay. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and really tastefully decorated. It had everything we needed to enjoy a much needed break. I even managed to chuck a log on the wood burner!!

Absolutely nothing has disappointed us with this accommodation.

"The perfect stay"

The decor of the apartment gave a real luxury but comfortable feel. It's location in the centre of town meant we could easily come back and drop off the many book purchases! James was helpful and responsive which made us feel like we were being well looked after despite not having met! I have already recommended the Pavement Palace to friends & we hope to be able to come back one day.

"Very good"

Perfect location in the centre of Hay-on-Wye. Ideal for us to make quick returns to drop off the many books we were purchasing. Fully equipped kitchen, really enjoyed the log burner (we brought our own logs as we knew we would be using it quite a bit). Bed was extremely comfy.

The clock tower chiming every fifteen minutes through the night was a pain as we sleep with a window open and I am a light sleeper. Though not the fault of the accommodation. Just be warned and bring ear plugs like I did! There is also not much natural light in the apartment, but that can't be helped. There is ample lighting so it was never a problem.
