Absolutely stunning view, beautiful pool, delicious food, overall quiet and relaxing.

If I had to name one thing: the service at the restaurant was a bit slow.

The property is really stunning and out of this world, nestled by the lake with endless views of the lush vegetation. The infinity 20m pool is also a gem including all lounging areas. The room (lake suite) we had was also nice with a beautiful view. The food was pretty good too and the waiters were lovely. The massage was very good.

The “experiences” on offer were disappointing (not available, no follow up, low quality of service) but we provided the feedback while there and a manager was very receptive which we appreciated. The massage was very good though. For sensitive sleepers, bring a sleeping mask as the room has upper windows with no curtains and the room is fully bright from 6am.

What a beautiful location overlooking Koggala Lake. Spacious room with balcony overlooking the lake. Excellent food both Sri Lankan and western. Amazing library plus gym and spa. Lovely infinity pool with poolside bar. Short tuk tuk ride from rom the beach but far from the noise of the resort.

Nothing except we should have brought old a longer stay!

Amazing location overlooking Koggala Lake, and run as a true eco-resort, with beautiful spaces to relax and enjoy the wonderful nature of Sri Lanka.

Nothing - once you arrive, there is little reason to go outside the property (which is a good thing, considering the rather hair-raising ride through the poor roads leading to the property!)

Luxury in the heart of a rain forest, from privacy to the sounds of nature, it was beyond exotic. The staff is very welcoming and the GM made sure that our stay went perfectly well. We had booked the family villa since we were 5 people and wanted to stay in close proximity. The 2 rooms are not interconnected but have a private pool in the middle and both rooms are lake facing. You are truly immersed in nature with the sound of afternoon showers, peacocks echoing their calls all day, chirping birds in the morning, bhuddist prayer chants in the distance and innumerous crickets at night. You can hear a few monkeys too but we dint see any at the property. The infinity pool is magic with a beautiful deck and bar. The views are so scenic with the beautiful rainforest lake in sight and reflections of the sun gleaming throughout the day. The sunrise is breathtaking from this deck, although if you have a lake facing room, then you can enjoy the sunrise from there too. Enjoy viewing an uninterrupted view of the stars in a clear night sky. Food was well curated and breakfast was excellent. The approach might feel like a little adventure but it's a part of heading into the rainforest. We had a memorable experience at Tri by Amaya and look forward to returning soon!

Beautiful location, providing much calm, surrounded by stunning scenery and an incredible array of birds. The staff were welcoming and warm, stopping to chat and see if I needed anything. A special shout out to Mr Aruna and Chef Sharmil. Its rare to find a hotel with such luxury that also has a personal touch and with an owner and staff that really care. A wonderful stay.

I really liked the pool and the entire pool area. The staff was accommodating even though they made the impression that they were a little overwhelmed. The room view and the calmness was great.

What I find really disappointing is that we only found out the place has a gym and a library and a yoga Shala after our stay. Nobody has told us about the facilities so we essentially paid full price for not the entire service and facilities. We would have definitely used them. Also as said before, the staff is nice but seems overwhelmed and rather slow. The road to the place is a bit tricky and we had a bit difficulties to find it in the first place.

Having stayed at multiple resorts & hotels across Sri Lanka over a period of one and a half weeks, Tri by Amaya takes the win for the best stay overall for my wife and I. We happened to celebrate our Anniversary at Tri. General Manger Dinesh, Manager Harsha and Chef Camil helped plan out the day with multiple couple’s activities which included a couple’s spa, a 1.5 hour boat ride in the lake with drinks and refreshments, and a lavish dinner with off the menu vegetarian items along with a cake prepared by Chef Camil himself, all of which made the wifey super happy. We spent the rest of our time at the lake facing villa with a plunge pool, with full height windows, and a running balcony facing the lake with seating, which was absolutely perfect to say the least. An attempt to extend our stay by a day and skip 1 night in Colombo failed unfortunately as the Villa was already booked by other guests. All in all, felt pretty lucky and happy that Tri happened at the very end of our Sri Lanka trip, as it turned out to be an absolute banger, thanks to Dinesh and the entire team of service staff.

It would have been great to have a mini fridge at the villa, the only miss overall at Tri. Though we had enough ice buckets delivered to us as and when requested.
