Incredible property in a great location. Staff was very attentive to our needs and overall a 10/10 experience. Highly recommended.

We absolutely adored our stay here and were genuinely sad when we had to check out. This is a gorgeous property with uniquely Japanese architecture and design notes everywhere, situated right in the middle of the popular Higashiyama ward. Our room was immaculate and the glass wall view of the garden was beautiful and lit up the room with natural light that gave the whole room a peaceful, relaxing, modern vibe that we really loved. The staff here were warm, friendly, and extremely thoughtful - they treated us like we were the most important people in the world and really made the whole experience extra special for us. Highly recommend doing the Japanese breakfast at the Kyoto Bistro on-site, it was a unique and delicious breakfast unlike anything we've ever had. Overall, the Park Hyatt Kyoto 100% lived up to the hype for us - this is a unique 5-star luxury experience without any of the pretentiousness that typically comes with hotels of this class. We are already planning our return trip next year, only difference is we're going to stay longer because it's just that good!!

Nestled in a fantastic location at the heart of Higashiyama, this modern hotel seamlessly blends in with the other historic buildings in this area. You are just steps away from all the wonderful shops and restaurants. The hotel facilities and the staff are WONDERFUL. I would probably rate the hotel's staff as the best we've ever encountered anywhere. A good mix of Japanese and other foreign staff caters to every guest's needs with incredible efficiency and that famous Japanese courtesy. Our room had a private view of the garden and was decorated in a wonderful mix of Japanese and Western Zen motif. The housekeeping staff kept our room clean and fresh twice a day. Unsurprisingly, they never accepted the gratuity we left on our pillow each day. They even left cute origami figures on our bedside each night. The breakfast at the Bistro featured delicious and healthy choices consisting of both a buffet and entrees to order in Western and Japanese style. Again, the staff was extremely courteous and efficient. Our dinner at Yasaka restaurant was a truly memorable experience of great food and even better views of the Kyoto city and the Yasaka pagoda. The champagne hour each evening capped off a great day of each day's tour of Kyoto with a traditional kimono-clad lady playing the Japanese musical instrument, Koto. Our seven-day stay was filled with wonderful memories and we look forward to revisiting the Park Hyatt Kyoto again. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The Park Hyatt Kyoto is the height of luxury and omotenashi that I’ve experienced across the brand. As a full time traveler who spends more than two hundred nights per year at Hyatt properties, the Park Hyatt Kyoto really stands above all others. From the initial greeting recognizing my globalist status, to the daily Golden Hour, to check out everything at this hotel is choreographed to make the guest feel like someone really special. In The Living Room, you can spend each afternoon sipping champagne and being treated like royalty. Maiko and her team offer fantastic and consistent service excellence. The breakfasts are an elaborate buffet of everything you’d ever want to start your day, all beautifully displayed and skillfully prepared by the culinary team. I really appreciated Gerardo’s greeting and kindness each morning, asking about our past day and suggestions for the next. Housekeeping staff does a fantastic job while being almost invisible, keeping the room spotless and organized without being intrusive. Perhaps the best part of this property is the onsen Japanese baths, a hot and cold plunge with steam and sauna that was perfect for relaxing the muscles after a long day of temple and shrine touring. On check-out, we were met by Billy Ko the rooms manager to ask about our stay, offering his personal contact information for any after-stay questions, and even contacting his team at our next Hyatt property stay. I’m a Hyatt loyalist, but the Park Hyatt Kyoto reminded me how GREAT this brand can be at their highest level.

What an amazing building in an incredible location with amazing staff. Top marks all around, and I can't wait to come back to stay again.

Our group is extremely pleased with the quality of the service we received from the hotel staff, to the extend that we felt this is the highest quality of service that we have received across the globe. We have stayed at Park Hyatt in Zurich, Paris, Vienna and many other higher end hotels that are considered the best hotels in the world such as Ritz, Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne, etc., and we were truly impressed with the quality of service we received at the Park Hyatt Kyoto and consider it the best among all of the best hotels we've stayed so far. The services and experiences curated by the hotel give us a great all-round experience including kimono experience, temple visit, kaiseki experience in a classic Japanese garden environment. As the matter of a fact, we consider Park Hyatt Kyoto the main highlight for our trip in Kyoto.

Our private tour to the Kyoyamato garden was unforgettable. The young gentleman who guided us through the garden was thoughtfully prepared, and his knowledge of the garden’s history was impressive. The concierges and staff were always attentive and responsive to our needs.We felt not only like guests, but as if we were welcomed into a home, more connected to the local spirit of this historic neighborhood than anywhere else we visited during our trip in Japan. Looking forward to returning again in the future.
