Molly Pitcher Inn

We loved the location and sitting by the pool area with a cocktail. The hotel lobby and the views from the bar are spectacular.

The room we stayed in was so small and the bed was uncomfortable. We got up early and left because we couldn't sleep.

Beautiful location on the Navesink River close to picturesque downtown Red Bank

Layout of roads makes it hard to access the hotel. We had a last minute reservation. Our room was very clean and comfortable but a little dated. It was not in the main hotel itself but two flights of stairs down near the outdoor pool. There was no elevator access.

The rooms were a bit old fashioned with very noisy air conditioning that kept kicking in every minute so much so on the second night I had to turn it off. There was still a hum from other AC equipment outside the window.

Location

Asked for balconey with river view….got ground floor with view of a tree and ladder. Mind you, it was a Sunday and not fully booked at all. Asked to change rooms….moved up 1 floor to parital view of marina and pool and was informed it was a complimentary upgrade. It certainly was not worth the money we spent. Pretty hotel, but very dated. No place to sit outside in the evening with the glasses of wine we got from the bar ( overpriced) unless we went back to the balconey off our room, so that is what we did. I was very disappointed. We travel all over the world and would not return here. Red Bank is fun and lively…..and worth the visit, but I would not recommend the Molly Pitcher. It needs to get a grip on what they charge. They have a beautiful spot on the river that should be priced so that more rooms with views dont stay vacant.
