"Overall it was still an excellent resort and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again."

10.0

Everything was very easy to navigate and laid out very well.

Guests getting up and trying to save multiple palapas before the allotted time allowed. Also, if you wanted to eat at the steakhouse restaurant, you had to stand in line an hour before it even opened if you wanted to eat there that evening.

"Loved It!!"

10.0

Traveled to RIU with my Mom and we purchased the Elite Club package and we really enjoyed having these extra perks. The Elite Club pool was very relaxing and the bar tend, Madeline, was wonderful, sweet, attentive, and Loved her music!! The Elite Club bar has a nice relaxing vibe and Gerardo and Jasmine were so fun! We enjoyed conversation and laughs with them! The morning Elite Club breakfast staff are also wonderful and so happy! The resort itself is very clean and the food was amazing… with a few exceptions.. I highly recommend the Steak House and the Buffet! I do feel the Elite Club desk could do a better job explaining all the perks, we found out things as we went along, it could’ve just been the girl we encountered because we heard others had better experiences with that desk. We really enjoyed this place and thank you to all the ‘Happy’ Staff!!

"Great Vacation!"

10.0

This was our 6th time in Aruba. We have previously stayed at the RIU Palace next door, but wanted to try the Antillas. It did not disappoint! Our room was amazing. Clean, comfortable and the view was outstanding! Shower was great! No issues with hot water or pressure. Staff were VERY friendly and helpful. They were always smiling. Food was good. We tried 2 restaurants off property, which we always do when we travel to Aruba. We ate at the buffet every morning and for 3 evenings while we were there. We only tried the Italian restaurant on property, because the others were similar to the RIU Palace. The food was good! We had access to the Elite Club and the restaurant was SO GOOD! The Elite Club Bar was quiet and the bartenders, I believe their names were Gerardo and Yazmin, THE BEST. Drinks were delicious and well made. Super friendly and funny! Walking distance to so many places/other hotels. If I had to find an "issue" it would be with some of the adults who were rude to staff, sloppy in the restaurants, and loud by the pool area. But you find that wherever you travel to. The RIU Palace is under construction, but we rarely heard any noise. And when we did, it wasn't awful. GREAT HOTEL. We will be back! Thank you for everything!!

"Decent But Way Overpriced"

6.0

I have stayed at over 25 all inclusive resorts, with several of them being the RIU. I have to say that not only was this the most expensive, but it was clearly the worst. That says multitudes. Way too difficult to get in any of the restaurants. They weren’t worth the time. Only decent place was the steakhouse. We dined our 4 nights for dinner. Liquor was really bottom shelf. Service was pretty good. If I even entertained the idea of going back, I would simply use this as a hotel, n not an all inclusive. Location and beach were excellent! They can certainly do better.

"Lovely stay with family"

10.0

After reading some unfavorable reviews before we left for our trip, I was pretty nervous but I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. People with bad experiences here may have just been unlucky. We've traveled to many resorts in the Caribbean, several higher end/more expensice than this one, and I have no complaints at all. No resort is perfect and things happen that are unavoidable. The cable going out for an hour and an elevator going down temporarily really are first world problems. We went with family - ages 18 - 70, and we all had a great time. There seemed to be more groups at this resort so it wasn't very romantic/couples driven, which was perfect for our group of 7. The resort grounds, pools, restaurants, bathrooms and rooms were all very clean. Our housekeepers did a wonderful job restocking towels and tidying up everyday. Comfy beds and nice, large showers. Plenty of variety of food for all meals. There is a buffet only for breakfast and lunch, but tons of options and things changed daily. The dinner buffet had a different theme each night and still tons of options to choose from. The specialty restaurants are first come, first serve, and I read they were hard to get into, but we were still able to get our group in for a couple of dinners at the Italian spot and the Steakhouse. We didn't care to try the other two spots anyway. Some people do claim beach front palapas and pool chairs super early, but we were able to get chairs even arriving at 9 every day. Staff were friendly and always smiling. The location was very convenient to shopping and restaurants. Beach was beautiful, and perfect turquoise water. Honestly no complaints for the resort at all, and I would go back in the future!

"Resort maravilhoso"

10.0

MALO.

"One Happy Island"

10.0

Just returned from our second time at Riu. Was there a year ago also. I must give a shout out about Paola who was the towel girl last year and now seats people in the restaurants. That girl never stops smiling. She is an asset to your resort and I hope she is promoted when we do a return visit. The only problem we had was with our room keys. And we did not keep them near any electronics. But having to replace room key more than 4 times is a Problem. Other than that, everything was good. The buffet is the best of any AI I have been to. Maid service (Isabel) kept our room clean and gave us a blanket cause I was cold in middle of night. Hopefully, we will be back again. Last year we had a group of 14. We had 16 this year. See you again, Aruba.

The RIU Antilles was wonderful. The staff were very helpful and so friendly. Ten of us had specialty dinner every night together.
