"Needs updating to bring it above average."

8.0

Just returned from 5 nights at the Riu Palace Antillas. The location was perfect. Beach and pool were beautiful. The room, a JR suite was average and small. They need to replace their towels, some of them were thread bare. Like a lot of resorts now a days, they try to be conservative and not replace the towels every day. That would be fine except for there's really no place to hang your towel once you've used it. In the bathroom there was a large wall with nothing on it. They could easily install a few towel racks there. Right now it's wasted space. The food, again just average, nothing special at all. I think for the price, they need to do some updating. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. Would we go back? The juror is still out on that.

"Decent budget friendly pick"

6.0

Second time staying here, we booked last minute and not many rooms or hotels were available. Food, drinks and all around service is a mixed bag. Some days it’s great some days it’s terrible. Not as nice as other RIU properties but it is a decent value. You are in the main hotel area and have all inclusive drinks and dining for the same price as places that are not all inclusive. We stayed at another hotel during our stay and definitely noticed the ones that aren’t all inclusive were better. Hotel is located next to another RIU and faces the sister property’s stage area. Depending on what side of the resort you are on you can expect loud music until about 11pm. Although restaurants can be slow, bar staff did a great job attending to everyone and made decent quality drinks. Hotel is all include with a party pool and a quiet pool but seems to attract older groups. Beach area is clean and easily accessible. Make sure to get up early to get a spot. No reserving spots, or restaurants at this hotel. Evening is first come fist serve. Overall a good deal but you won’t be wowed by the hotel. They do a lot of things ok and some things bad to make you frustrated.

"Ubicación en las mesas"

10.0

Piscinas, playas, bares y restaurantes. Todo limpio y en general muy buena atención del personal.

Te guían a la hora de desayuno, almuerzo y cena en el buffet y te llevan lejos para instalarte, habiendo siempre mesas disponibles cerca del buffet.

"Nice resort.... BUT....."

8.0

We had a great time at the RIU Antillas.... wonderful weather, great staff. lots of laughs. Our biggest complaint was how the resort policy for their dinner reservations at (the restaurants. You had to wait in line (possibly starting as early as 4:30!) to get a "buzzer"...but they didn't start handing them out until 6:00pm. You could request the early or later seating but even then were NOT guaranteed a reservation depending on how many people were in front of you. SO..... if you wanted to eat right away at 6:00, you had to be READY by the time you got in line.... this meaning leaving the pool/beach area by 3:30 to get showered/ready for dinner! We refused to give up our fun afternoon at the water to get ready & wait in line. We got lucky enough to get into 2 of the restaurants the whole week, the other evenings we were at the resort (we were away 2 whole days) we ate at the buffet, which was very good but it would have been nice to experience the other restaurants. Our entire group has travelled extensively throughout the years and have NEVER been at a resort that has a policy like this! Also talked with many other tourists at the resort that hated the way they did this! We will definitely return to Aruba but will NOT be returning to RIU Antillas due to this policy.

"Train your staff"

The pool staff was the absolute worst I’ve ever seen. No motivation, look like they did not want to be there. One day at bar pool they had an activity. Other than that it was guess that tine every day. Come on riu this is unacceptable

"Should have tried the other Riu."

6.0

I must say how disappointed I was to see how much the hotel changed in 6 years. It looks very gloomy and outdated. Our Jr. Suite was just adequate. The dresser drawers would get stuck so we had to leave them open. On the Tuesday of our 2nd week the TV went down throughout the entire complex and still not fixed by the Saturday when we left. Cleaning staff were great and so were dining staff. The food, as always, was excellent. Good variety at every meal. This is not a place I will go back to.

"STAY AWAY"

4.0

look for another property! DONT stay here! Upon check- in we were told we received an upgrade to a Villa - where the Elite people stay! Thought that was great until we heard we could not use the Elite benefits- including the pool and bar that was right outside our room! Trying to get a reservation for dinner was a joke- we were 4 couples that traveled together and to get a table for 8 was almost impossible, unless you were Elite! if we were lucky we got a table at 830 or 9pm- and one night the food options that were offered were NO longer available to us- not sure how you run out of food! Even at the buffet it was 745 when we went to get a table and we all were told to come back at 10:15. We ended up eating off property for 2 nights! the only 24 hour place to get food was stocked 1st thing in morning and once they ran out you were out of luck! Bars were closed outside by 6pm most nights! no one wants to be inside when on vacation! Upon check out- we had a late flight and we asked to leave our bags and they told us NO that we would have to take them unless we have prepaid transportation - we needed up talking to manager and were finally able to leave the bags. No one is overly pleasant! The guys who you need to ask for chairs on the beach acted like we were troubling them! I mean its their job!!! NEVER AGAIN

"Our Winter Home Away from Home!"

10.0

Hotel Riu Antillas Palm Beach Aruba 2026 This was our 5th stay at what we consider our ‘home away from home’. I cannot say enough about the RIU hospitality and phenomenal staff. It’s so nice to be remembered for what your beverage is, the extra spoon for dessert, and extra napkins - without asking! Worthy of mention, Deysy at the Steak House and Aruban was always there to help! Ana Miriam always knew the table we preferred at breakfast and lunch! The continuous care from Michelle Li in the buffet and the great service from Susanna, Sahara, Astrid, Melina and Luz at our tables spoiled us. Seeing Paola in the Buffet was great, always smiling. Al Rocker, not the weatherman, was terrific and who can forget Owen in the Steak House - first Class! All the staff were fantastic!
Our visit wouldn’t be complete without several visits to see the phenomenal Gaby at Hands by Gaby to see her latest Aruban creations, authentic artisan jewelry and Claudia at Creations by Claudia for hand sewn and painted cover ups and other items of clothing located at the The Artist Co-op, formerly the Atelier, in the Paseo Herencia Mall down the road from the Riu. Our sincerest appreciation to Alejandro Osorio, the phenomenal Public Relation Manager at the RIU Antillas for his ongoing assistance and care. There were balloons in the room and a special dessert and a great staff singing performance at dinner for my wife’s birthday and another special dessert for our anniversary. Appreciation as well to Daniel and Lucia, Assistant General Managers for their continuous offers to assist us with our needs and preferences.
Aruba and the Riu Antillas continues to be safe, clean and weather guaranteed, we would highly recommend!
