Homewood Suites by Hilton Toledo-Maumee

We arrived right at 3 pm, room not ready for 20 minutes. A really nice suite: full kitchen, fireplace (w/15 min. timer), soft sheets. Oddly, TVs in living & bedroom had different channels. Bath sink vanity separate from toilet/shower, but only toilet/shower had door. The lights from vanity shined onto the bed. No bedside clock/alarm. Could sometimes hear heavy footsteps through the ceiling.Breakfast was eggs, potatoes, sausage & gravy, breads, bagels, muffins, yogurt, sliced fruit, oatmeal, & cereal. No meats, though. Definitely would recommend Homewood Suites.

I have stayed here many times in recent years while visiting family in the area. The condition of the hotel has deteriorated significantly, and I will not return. Rooms are dark, dingy and in need of updates. On the most recent visit, the ice machine, pool and business center computer all bore signs stating "out of order" or "close for maintenance". Not sure why Hilton wants there name associated with this hotel; most Homewood Suites are lovely - NOT THIS ONE!!

We were checked into the qrong room our first night and it was a strong urine smell from bathroom to bed. I found an old towel that was sour and pissed soaked. I took photos of all. The front desk clerk on the night shift wass nice and moved us to a room which we found out was our correct room from the get go! We we were actually booked to the wrong room day1. Just not pleased at.

The staff was good and they upgraded us for free because we booked late in the day and there was only 1 room left which was a 2 bedroom suite with fireplace which was nice. However, the pool was closed for maintenance, the fitness room was closed for some reason, there was trash in one of our trashcans and in general it needed the trim painted in the room and there was some type of glitter glue on 2 of the night stands and the full kitchen had dishes but they were ALL in the dishwasher. Lastly, we were by a "sprinkler" room and every 20 minutes or so it sounded like something was being primed. It was hard to sleep through.

Good service and clean. BBQ area looked nice plus lots of places to eat nearby. Pool was closed though

When we opened the sofa bed we discovered the following items: sock, dirty wash cloth with feces/blood, empty soda can, dirty paper plate, Oreo cookie, cheerios, salt and pepper packet, cellophane wrappers, a quarter, debris. Hotel poorly maintained and run down. Broken ice maker. Broken bathroom fan, bathroom sink did not drain, ice maker out of order, no linens for pull out sofa bed. N

Pool was closed. Breakfast was paltry. Wireless didn’t work, pillows were terrible. One small elevator.

I would not recommend this hotel. Our room was not cleaned well, and the refrigerator did not work correctly. The maintenance person was never there, and so nothing could be done to fix the refrigerator.

I have stayed in other Homewood Suites and they were wonderful. This one desperately needs to have money put into it. The pool is closed, the rooms and hotel itself is worn out, beat up, and falling apart. Our room smelled liked mildew and it gave me a headache both nights. The toilet turned on every 15 minutes to cycle out water. Not happy.

Front desk service was very fast and accommodating as we had no toilet paper in our room and no ice available as machine was broken. Property was quiet, clean and comfortable but could use some updating. If you plan on swimming, call first, pool was under repair.
