Absolutely fabulous experience with Tirso at breakfast this morning. Couldn't have asked for better service, very attentive and super friendly! Would lovw to come back. The hotel itself is lovely too, with everyone going above and beyond!

We come stay here every year when we visit family, always a lovely stay and our highlight is always breakfast with the fantastic service from Tessie, she remembers us every year. Thanks so much

Just returned from a lovely stay at this hotel. We stayed for 2 nights on a Travelzoo deal (bed and breakfast) and opted to have dinner there on the first night. Dinner was OK but nothing special so we opted to eat out the following evening. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choices in both continental and cooked. Beautiful, large, clean hotel with a good vibe to it. Our room on the fifth floor was lovely, the only criticism being it was quite dark inside even with all of the lights on (couldn't actually see inside the wardrobe!) so we asked reception to bring us an additional standard light which they promptly did. All of the staff were professional and helpful, especially the ladies on reception. Car park with wide spaces is located just over the road. Great location right on the Quayside and a 15 min walk into the city centre. Cant wait to stay again, it was brilliant.

We had a fantastic stay the room was really spacious, clean and the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was really nice and the service from Tirso was fantastic.

I live in the south and have stayed at this hotel since its conception here in Newcastle! I didn’t think this hotel could get better but it has, the upgraded decor is marvellous! Can’t say enough about the service and meals as they’re great and words are in-suffice, but a special shout out for Tessie who made my stay perfect!! Thank you ❤️

I've promised and forgotten to do this for years literally so today I promised myself I would. We've visited Malmaison Newcastle a number of times over the years of often around Christmas/New Year but also the occasional Sunday lunch...aways fabulous...always great service and relaxed atmosphere. Maybe coincidence but on quite a few occasions we've been looked after by Tessie. She's the reason I wanted to make sure I did this review. Extremely friendly...great personal service and just a lovely person to have look after you...can't speak highly enough of her.

Hotel is beautiful inside and out we had a meal at the restaurant in the hotel and I can’t fault it at all was absolutely beautiful normally I don’t try restaurants in hotels but this time I did it was so worth it staff on reception were so helpful too, room was lovely and big really clean however the only down side is that I was heading up to my room and as I passed by I saw a housekeeping team member doing their job the housekeeper was speaking to another member of staff with short black hair, white top and black pants this staff member was speaking to the housekeeper absolutely rotten, I’ve never heard anyone speak so awfully to another member off staff shouting at them in a corridor obviously I don’t know the reason for her foul mouth but either way I think in the work place this is not acceptable and I felt awkward as a guest over hearing this the staff member walked away and proceeded to talk badly about this housekeeper behind their back saying the most disgusting things I’ve ever heard after this I did not want to leave my room untill this woman had left she made us feel awkward and it wasn’t even us she was speaking to, other then that it was absolutely one of the best hotels we stayed at its just a shame some staff clearly haven’t got the best manners
