Malmaison Newcastle

Lovely stay at Malmaison Newcastle. Gorgeous club room and great staff. Breakfast was a fab experience thanks to Tirso, who was very attentive and always smiling.

My husband and I cannot praise this hotel enough …. We stayed for the one night … the staff are brilliant from the girl in reception , the young man in the bar to the lovely very pleasant Tessie who saw to us a breakfast ( which was first class by the way) most definitely stay again

. . . returned with my husband for our daughter’s masters graduation; made it a long weekend to enjoy the city. We had a few issues which were immediately sorted by the duty manager Callum. Amy was brilliant; professional and efficient service when we had dinner. My room, 522, was cosy, well serviced with a bath and separate shower which suited me. A lovely view of the Millennium Bridge and Baltic. We used the parking facility which was convenient. We enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel, friendly helpful staff, comfortable spacious and clean room, great breakfast, special mention to Tirso at breakfast who was incredibly polite, happy and friendly, really great person!

Lovely hotel, great location, amazing food and staff go above and beyond to help! Would highly recommend this hotel! The breakfast is also one of the BEST I’ve ever had!

A fantastic evening at MalMaison. The evening meal and cocktails were perfect. We loved the newly refurbished rooms, especially the bar and restaurant. Tirso was extremely helpful at breakfast time. Thank you. A fabulous stay.

My girlfriend and I went for afternoon tea and it was absolutely lovely. Great atmosphere, nice food and drink and the staff, especially Tessie, who served us were great.

Visited Malmaison for lunch with family. Restaurant was very busy but we were quickly taken to our table by the very friendly Tessie. Tessie was amazing ensuring we got our drinks and food ordered quickly and efficiently chasing up one missing drink from our order. Nothing was too much trouble despite how busy the restaurant was. Tessie seamlessley handed over to the lovely Amy before completing her shift. We all had the beef which was delicious and complimented by perfectly cooked seasonal vegetables. Fabulous service and food - will definitely be back

I have stayed here before and not had a great experience. However decided to give it another try as I have flown in from Bangkok and been travelling 30 hours Check in is 3pm but I reached out to the hotel yesterday to ask if any early check in was possible outlining my circumstances via Expedia. Got a message back trying to sell me an upgrade ! Turned up to be told it was not possible and when I asked why they did not have the courtesy to respond all I got from the receptionist is it is an automated response and it is not their problem. I pointed out that all I wanted was a response as I could have stayed at the airport longer. Ironically this was the same receptionist who delivered such poor service the last time. Four star facility with two star staff and no management or customer care

Really enjoyed my stay at malmaison. The food is great and the service is even better. Tirso was fantastic during my 2 night stay and always went above and beyond his duty. Highly recommend and would return without any doubts.
