Ikos Andalusia

We have just returned from an outstanding holiday at Ikos Andalusia. I cannot express just how lovely our holiday has been. From the day we arrived & was greeted at the main entrance to the day we departed was just perfect. I have never encountered such wonderful, polite & helpful staff who go out of their way & always smiling, to ensure you are enjoying your stay. The rooms were just amazing & kept really clean twice daily of which was one of my highlights. With no lack of varied food in various à la carte restaurants or in the Flavours Buffet area, we were highly delighted. We found the Anaya Asian restaurant to be our favourite personal choice the food was so flavoursome & staff Amazingly friendly. Although, all restaurants were of exceptional high standard. I’d like to thank each & everyone at Ikos for being so welcoming & making our holiday perfect.

Ikos Andalusia…. I honestly don’t know where to start to explain how good my experience here has been. I have never had the privilege of experiencing an all inclusive hotel before but this has completely blown my mind. Everything down to the last detail is perfection, from the team members that met us at the airport to those who waved goodbye, the maids, the groundskeepers and entertainment all worked together as one to make our first family trip a dream. Generally as a rule we don’t return to places, finding the time and money can be tricky but on our first evening here we were already discussing if we could find a way to make this an annual trip and we didn’t even take full advantage of everything as our girl is too young. There are kids clubs, crèches, spas and cocktail classes amongst other things! First and foremost the team need praise. I very much believe people are quick to complain, but not so quick to praise so be prepared for a whole heap of praise to try and make the world a better place! The team: Honestly everyone we spoke to was genuinely kind, and I mean that, not just ‘they are paid to do a job’ nice. You can see a kindness in their eyes that you can’t fake. I apologise that I cannot remember everyone’s names and roles (since becoming a dad remembering is hard!) but here we go! Bella: She spent time providing insightful information about the hotel and its parent company as well as herself. She is kind, caring and the questions she asked about myself and family showed a genuine interest in our well being and I suspect she was trying to see if she could ‘feel’ anything we might want or need (spoiler: we needed nothing as Ikos Andalusia is incredible) Even when bumping into her around the resort and busy en route to other guests she would check in on us if she spotted us. Down to earth and truly a delight to talk to, I think she would genuinely arrange anything we could possibly request! Cristina: Cristina welcomed us at arrival and despite only seeing her on occasion throughout our stay she seemed to remember every detail about us. She stopped to talk to our little girl (and threatened to gobble up her legs!) every chance she could and gave her a delightful puppy that will be a cherished memory. Asia: Helped us get checked in, get to our rooms. Round the clock help was provided for us, we needed to preorder baby food: done, we broke a glass in our room: cleaned. We needed a steriliser and baby bath: bam, had it in five minutes. I’d like to think we are low maintenance guests, but I’ve no doubt if I asked for a flying zebra Asia would make it happen! Anita: I only spoke to Anita one evening when we accidentally left our room keys behind. There was no fuss, no hassle, it was sorted immediately. Anita exuded a calm kindness that is hard to put into words, but you’ll know it when you experience it. Thomas: Lovely mixologist working at the lobby bar that explained to me why he chose what he did for his own custom drinks! (Please try his health and mana potions, they are dangerously easy to drink however!) Sonia: Every morning Sonia greeted us with a smile for breakfast, she was so kind to us and our little baby girl. She sat us at ‘our’ table each day and always checked we were happy. Andrea: Despite having a hand injury, she was all smiles and kindness while helping our family. Every day she asked how our family was getting on. Jo: Almost every morning helped us get our drinks and anything we needed for breakfast. Noelia: For our first few evenings she looked after us and always greeted us with a smile! Sofia: Special shout out to Sofia that helped arrange food for our little girl and advised us on preordering a specific dish as we are not quite fully on solid foods just yet! She also spoke to me at length about the resort and team and really sold the vibe of the place to me. No matter how busy it was she always checked to make sure our babies food was perfect (and it was every time!) All of the restaurant staff in ‘Flavours’ took the time to speak to and acknowledge me where possible, they fawned over my daughter which was very cute and I just apologise I don’t have names (all of those in the black uniforms) Location: With our arranged transfer it was about 45mins from airport to the hotel. Situated by the sea, it’s about as perfect as it gets. It’s what you imagine it would be from the photos and more. The resort itself is immaculately clean and easy to navigate. Atmosphere: The whole place has a chill, paradise vibe, there are families and couples in equal measure and Ikos has done its best to find a happy middle ground where some areas as designated for adults only. During the day time there is a lot of kids playing in the kids pool/splash area. A bit further up is a family pool and of course they will be a bit loud, but in the afternoon/evening that all quietened down and only music can be heard until eventually that all wraps up around 10pm So if the idea of sharing a place with families is off putting I could guarantee you can find a quiet place.

First stay at Ikos Andalusia (stayed at 3 of their Greek hotels) and it was lovely. Amazing food, beautiful setting, lots of pools to choose from. The stand out difference from other hotels is the staff - all really friendly, chatty and couldn’t be more helpful. In particular Darko, Jack and Victoria who looked after us well. We will definitely return.

This was our 3rd visit to Ikos Andalusia and our best yet, thanks to all the wonderful staff, especially Bella the customer experience representative. We visited as a family of 3, with our 2 year old, to celebrate my birthday. Ikos went above and beyond our expectations to make this a truly special trip, with lots of surprises along the way from Bella, even up to the moment we had to say goodbye (for now) :) During our stay we dined at all of the restaurants, sharing multiple fantastic dishes and tried different cocktail creations from all of the bars, including the adults-only bar when we were lucky enough to book the wonderful babysitting service. We also used the creche and it was lovely to see some familiar faces from last year, it makes such a difference knowing that our daughter was happy and safe during the creche sessions. The creche staff interacted with her really well and took her for walks as well as stopping by the ice cream stand (with our prior consent). While there, we also had a spa afternoon, consisting of a couples massage and use of the spa facilities. The treatment was wonderful and what I also like is you can use the spa whenever you wish, whether you have treatments booked or not. All in all we wouldn’t hesitate to return, in fact, if we weren’t booked up with other Ikos trips for the rest of 26/27, we would’ve booked a return by now! This was our second visit to Ikos, and once again it exceeded our expectations. The food was consistently delicious across all of the restaurants we visited, and the adults-only cocktail bar served some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had. Having drinks brought to us by the pool was the perfect added touch. I also really enjoyed the wide range of inclusive fitness classes, as well as access to both indoor and outdoor gym facilities. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the staff. Every team member we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. It’s clear that Ikos has a fantastic training programme and a strong customer-focused ethos. A special thank you to Darko, who looked after us so well throughout our stay and couldn’t have been more helpful or kind. Also, a big thank you to Tsoumanis for his assistance and kindness at Seasons.

This was our second visit to Ikos Andalusia and it did not disappoint. Our room was well appointed, very clean and attentive maid service. We were very lucky with a beautiful week of sunshine. It is the staff that make Ikos resorts what they are hence our frequent visits! They are exceptionally attentive and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The tapas restaurant on the beach was exceptional with beautifully cooked fresh fish and extensive and varied menu. The pools are a stand out at this resort having now visited all Ikos resorts. There is so much choice that you could visit a different pool each day if you really wanted to! There were always plenty of sunbeds and the pool service was outstanding. Michael the duty manager went the extra mile ensuring we had an exceptional experience and any issues we did have were quickly resolved. This was our 9th Ikos stay and most certainly won’t be our last. The team really do want to do everything they can to make sure guests have the best and most memorable holiday. Our 10th visit is already booked for next year!

Booked through Easyjet Holidays for 6 days. Transfer to the hotel was roughly 1 hr from Malaga Airport. Met by Szojna, a sweet lady who was always smiling. Jeryln took us to room 2301 and was very friendly. We booked a Superior Double Room Garden view but our room overlooked the pools. A beautiful spotless room with cosy bed and lovely balcony. Mini bar topped up everyday. Housekeeping do an excellent job. It took us a day or two to nagivate our way around. These are the restaurants we dined in: Flavours for some breakfasts, lunch and 1 evening meal. Great selection and nice staff. Frescos - Italian For lunch and dinner, loved it here, Mal was our favourite waitress here. Very helpful and friendly. Beach club Realised on third day they served breakfast, opened to about 11am. Loved their food and service. Special mention to Harry, Brad, Maria , Oscar and Gundega. We enjoyed lunch and dinner here. Highly recommend. All the team here are excellent. There was another gentleman wearing a brown uniform serving who was so lovely to us also. Olivia - Spanish restuarant Absolutely loved it. Lunch and dinner was excellent. Miss the Patatas Bravas and vegetable Risotto already. Konstantina served us dinner and was very attentive. We loved Flamingo dancer and man playing the guitar. Probably my favourite restaurant. The sangria here is the best! All the staff are excellent. Anaya- Asian Restaurant Dined here on our 2nd evening. Only open in evening. We enjoyed our night here. Provence - French Restaurant Again an excellent restaurant with lovely staff and food. We did not try Ouzo or Chiringuito. In the lobby Jazmin and Mohamed are so friendly. Jazmin came over to us when we first arrived to chat and greeted us everyday. Mohamed is a gentleman to speak to. Excellent hospitality people. We spent time at Senses pool, we were delighted to meet Remik and Alexjandra the Irish Hospitality students from Athlone. We took time to meet Niamh, the other Irish student who works in Seasons. Alongside Oscar in The Beach Club, these four students made our holiday lovely, taking time to chat and looking after us. We would like to mention Michael and Miguel from Guest Relations. Two excellent staff who went the extra mile. Miguel organised a lovely continental breakfast at 7am in our room on morning we were leaving. We did take the complimentary shuttle bus into Estepona, nice to see it. From the minute that you step into Ikos Andalucia to the minute you leave, you are pampered and looked after. An amazing hotel with wonderful staff who all work so hard to ensure your holiday is amazing. Only problem is when you come home, you miss all the pampering!!! Thank you team Ikos Andalucia.

What an amazing hotel! We stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary and it couldn't have been more special. The staff are fantastic; genuinely caring without being intrusive. The meals were all incredible, as were the drinks. It truly is a magical place. Thank you. x

This was our second stay at IKOS Andalusia. As part of a large family group, it has something for everyone. The included hiring of bikes and a car is a huge bonus, and a trip to Gibraltar is a must, as is a cycle ride to Estepona. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and the rooms, facilities and service are absolutely excellent. The choice of menus in the restaurants is extensive, and they will change/adapt and add anything you ask for. For us, the best food and service comes from Chiringuitos, a typical Spanish beach bar/restaurant situated actually on the beach. Open for lunches, it serves the best crispy prawns we've ever tasted. The manager, Darko, is extremely professional and efficient, accommodates all our requests (more crispy prawns, please) and ensures that his excellent staff enable things to run smoothly. Despite being very busy, he always has time for a banter! The only downside of Chiringuitos is that it has to close during rain as the roof is partially open. This will be fed back to management separately! We look forward to returning next year!
