Ikos Andalusia

A special *huge* thank you to food and beverage concierge supervisor Lenka for so ably and calmly managing our son’s food allergies (peanuts, sesame, egg) throughout our short break at Ikos. Even before our visit she was in touch to talk through our concerns and sent packaging pics and more to reassure us there would be plenty for him to eat. During our stay she dealt with his food orders daily to ensure that he had plenty of options to choose from. And as a VERY hungry 15yo he ate exceptionally well at all the restaurants, with staff throughout fully aware of his allergies and well able to cater (including a couple of dessert choices). Manuel, our guest concierge, was equally reassuring and friendly, expertly overseeing our stay as an extended family of nine, and making sure we all had everything we needed. I can’t speak highly enough of Ikos’s ability to manage food allergies - this was our second visit, following Kos last year, and clearly the company as a whole has excellent training and protocols. It helped make our holiday properly relaxing and was a joy to see our son able to enjoy almost as many options as his non-allergic sister and cousins. Thank you! PS Especially loved the food at Ouzo, Dinner by the Sea and Seasons; the complimentaryu spa massage was a dream; and the Deluxe family rooms were beautifully kitted out and spacious. There is a scenic paved path running from the hotel to Estepona for walks and runs, and a great selection of sports activities for the kids (aged 10-15) to enjoy. First trip to an Ikos, on the recommendation of repeat-visitor friends, and we were delighted. The resort itself is stunning, and spotlessly clean. The rooms are beautiful. We were initially in connecting rooms for a family of four (and these were nice enough) but midway through we were offered an upgrade to the two bed family suite, which was just stunning. Food is great at the all the restaurants and there are multiple pools - all spacious, with no fighting over sunbeds. The bikes and the Mini are great touches. But really what made it special was the staff. There are a lot of them, cleaning and prepping the whole resort from first thing, but everyone is so attentive without being too much. We were particularly impressed with the staff at the beachside pool, and with Eloi and Bianca in guest relations/concierge, who ensured that everything ran smoothly for us and that we got to eat at all the restaurants. I can see why my friends are such advocates for the Ikos concept and I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Been to several other Ikos and found them close to faultless. This one is very very good, but not quite up there in some respects. The bar is fantastic as is the buffet - best of the Ikos we’ve visited. Vast majority of staff are great. Adult pool is quiet and very nice. The food in general isn’t as good as others. Presentation is missing from a lot of meals, and it’s very obvious that things are not cooked at each restaurant - but done elsewhere and heated and served. They claim Michelin chef menus - maybe they are from Michelin chefs but don’t con yourself - it’s not Michelin food or even close. A few staff were just lazy which let done the majority. As an example the regular waitress at the adult pool was superb, but on her day off was replaced by a lad who did nothing and maybe two trips round the pool to take drinks orders in a whole afternoon. • Beach is nice but you have zero chance of getting in the sea as it’s nothing but rocks at the shoreline. This all sounds negative, but the place is so close to getting it all right. Would go back for sure, and hopefully just a few tweaks here and there would make it 100%

It is worth highlighting the key point of difference for an IKOS resort - the level of service is simply exceptional throughout: from the check-in at reception, every restaurant, the kids club... I could go on. Our favourite parts of the holiday: Restaurant - I think we were fortunate to visit every restaurant onsite during our stay, with every one offering a different menu but the quality of food and service in everyone was outstanding. A particularly favourite was the restaurant on the beech for lunch, with seafood paella overlooking the sea. Sports - we loved the opportunity to take part in a number of activities, with a special call-out to Antonio who was an outstanding coach for the little ones playing football. Kids club - so many resorts have just a room for colouring as a kids club, not so at IKOS! There is a full programme of activities for the kids, all the colleagues there were amazing and every evening there was some form of kids entertainment. We have been to IKOS Porto Petro, which we preferred to Andalusia: the resort at Porto Petro is much larger, more spaced out, whereas Andalusia is very compact - much of the accommodation is on top of restaurants or overlooking the pool area. There were a couple of things which were not perfect and a little disappointing, but in fairness, did not materially impact our holiday: 1) the website said you cannot book tennis more than 24hrs in advance, yet it was fully booked all week when we arrived; 2) bikes were unavailable twice when we wanted to go cycling, due to popular demand at this time; and 3) water sports were unavailable both times we tried to go. For context, these were not issues at IKOS Porto Petro, which also had a morning running club Andalusia did not have. It is a beautiful resorts immediately on the beach, about 45mins from the airport. We were fortunate with the weather, travelling in mid-October.

Ikos Andalusia is just the most fantastic place for a family holiday or even just a couple. This was our second visit and there is no doubt, we will return. The Ikos philosophy of family and service is just what it is ! Service is something that I find lacking today but not at Ikos, no member of staff walks with their head down, they are always looking to see if they can help any guest in anyway, it is by far the best service that I have experienced in many years. We are now planning to visit another Ikos Hotel before we return to Andalusia. Visit, you will not find anything better !!!!!!

This was our 6th holiday to an Ikos resort, and it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we were picked up at the airport, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is beautifully appointed, and spotless. The restaurants are varied and food very good. We particularly liked the promenade in front of the hotel, and used the bikes to cycle into Estepona. However the most important feature for us was the staff. The professional service, and effort they provided to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, was amazing.

We visited the Ikos Andalusia during October half term 2025. I have to say I am in love with everything Ikos offer generally but the Ikos Andalusia was heads and shoulders above. We stayed at the Majorca resort in 2024 so were keen to try another location. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the wonderful Matteo who looked after us throughout our whole journey. The service he provided was exceptional but to be honest all staff are very attentive and friendly. Matteo was so engaging and made us feel like we were the only guests. The hotel was at full capacity but we never felt it. The selection of pools and restaurants was amazing. My daughter was in a wheel chair for most of the holiday but this was never an issues as the resort is mainly flat and has easy access everywhere. The food was amazing, the quality of the drinks were fantastic and the a service above any we have experienced. We would highly recommend this hotel and group.

This was our second visit to this fantastic facility, the food staff and facilities are excellent and the trips to Estepona are worth taking. The accommodation is first class and the food and drink are of an exceptional standard this coupled with a can do attitude makes for a relaxing holiday. The arrival greeting is fast and efficient and the room service provided leave you wanting for nothing. If you book direct with IKOS they provide the high standard of transportation we have come to expect from this company at no cost. The rooms have all the usual facilities including daily replenished mini bar, Wi-Fi, safe and coffee and tea facilities again replenished daily, the towels and bedding are changed when required and the rooms are serviced daily. There are plenty of sunbeds across the numerous pools, however, we found inconsiderate guests monopolised the beds and the company do not undertake to monitor there policy of removing towels after a certain time. Whilst there are specific pools for families with children some parents do not consider that there noisy children can disrupt other gusts as long as they are not being bothered, another irritating anomaly that could be policed by the company policing and ensuring that guests abide by the rules. This facility is highly recommended for a high class holiday with all the trimmings expected from a 5 star establishment.
