MainStay Suites- Kansas City Overland Park

I ended up checking out less than an hour I was there. There were red spots all over the floors, not sure what substance was on the wall, clear sign of bed bugs, and I even found a roach on the wall behind the fridge. There was also a peg board in the room with 2 names on it, complete and utter trash.

Location was good, not much noise, easy access to get in. Keys worked.

Cockroachs everywhere, TV didn't work, no phone to call desk. Not clean dirt everywhere. No comforter on bed

The staff was really nice. The room was clean. The shower was clean.

The blankets on the beds were really thin. Like an extra sheet. I think blankets need to be thicker.

Staff was nice but the rooms were a little outdated and definitely had wear and tear from long term tenants. It was a nice place to stay while recovering from a surgery. The kitchen made it nice and easy. Very little within close walking distance but not too far up the road. The door to the parking lot was also broken and people would prop it up a lot. Everyone seemed nice but definitely not top of the line stay.

It's conveniently located worked for what I needed.

Room was dirty, could tell it wasn’t swept or anything. Our bed only had a flat sheet on top and when we called to ask for blankets we were hung up on. There was a dead cockroach in the bathroom.

Friendly front counter staff

This is not a hotel for a short-term lodger. It is mainly for low-income people who stay there long-term. The hotel is dated, and so are the rooms. There is only a sheet on the bed, and you have to crank up the heat to 80 to get any heat to come into the bedroom. There were crumbs on the sofa. The location is okay but not the best. Also, I checked out two nights early, and they refused to give me a refund

The property manager and staff was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable. My room had an individual thermostat for the room temperature. I enjoyed the water pressure in the shower especially after a long day of work. I would highly recommend this establishment.
