Clean and good location

Shouldn’t have been charged so much with the construction going on and maybe let us know it’s under renovation

The room was, as always, very spacious and clean. The only reason for the lower rating is that they are still undergoing a major renovation, so they are down to one elevator and a mess on the lower floor. They compensated by providing a full breakfast for no additional charge, which I appreciated. It is the closest location to walk to Old Town Scottsdale and it is a short walk to the Civic Center and the Performing Arts center, which is why I always stay there.

Construction mess, but it was better than last month!

I came for work for the week and honestly felt like I had a home. To begin with, I’m very sensitive to construction smells — they trigger my allergies — so the sweet woman who checked me in suggested placing me on the highest floor, in Room 615, and that was absolutely genius. I wish I remembered everyone’s names because the staff was incredible. Every single person I interacted with was amazing, and I don’t want to misgender anyone since I never asked, but here’s what I remember: A young woman working the night shift checked me in and was wonderful. I believe another staff member’s name was Alyssa. There was also someone with short hair and glasses working alongside the person who checked me in — they were fantastic. My boss came to greet me one evening, and later a coworker stopped by with her children, and those two staff members working that shift were so kind and welcoming. Another night, the woman working the bar was super quick and attentive. On a different night, a newer staff member (she mentioned she was new) came to my rescue to help me open my microwave because apparently I don’t know how to read, haha. The gentleman at the breakfast counter each morning was also amazing. He kept giving me extra bags so I could take my breakfast to work, which I really appreciated. I also forgot the name of the man who checked me out on Saturday, November 8th around 12 PM, but he even encouraged me to call ahead the next time I’m coming so they can make my stay just as great. Just know you have an amazing, resilient team that truly knew how to take care of us despite the construction going on. And seriously — if you look into all the staff working from November 2nd through November 8th, I can GUARANTEE that every single person I came across was outstanding. I got home and my partner was a bit jealous because I wouldn’t shut up about the hotel, lol. Also, huge props to the housekeeping team for keeping my room clean and fresh while I was at work. And please apologize for the popcorn on the floor — the little kids who visited me spilled it, and I had no broom and had to rush out to catch my flight. Thank you all so much.

Horrible experience. The hotel was under renovation. That was not disclosed when making the reservation. We had one day where they shut the water /toilets off from 12pm to 3pm. The property was under construction, so we had to walk through areas that were being renovated to get to it from our hotel room. There is no lobby currently so the front desk is at a folding table in the gym. This was also where the continental breakfast was served. In the middle of our stay, they decided to close the pool for maintenance when it was almost 90° outside. And on top of everything we had a fire alarm at 2:20 AM, where they made everyone evacuate the building to tell us it was a false alarm when we all made it downstairs - Six flights of stairs for us. Don’t recommend this hotel at all. Staff was no prepared to handle and of the concerns.

Hotel is under renovation and it is an absolute mess! Elevator looked like was stepping into a death trap. We stayed in a renovated room and it was clean, but didn't seem super updated for being a renovated room. Looked like renovation on a tight budget.

Big room, clean, great area, bars and restaurants in walking distance, free parking

Very noisy, high price

Whole property is under construction and no one made us aware of this before we came or booked.

Unexpected construction, water shut offs and faulty fire alarm that went off on two separate days at 5 am. We were not offered any discount or repayment. Would not recommend to anyone.

I’ve stayed at this hotel at least a dozen times, but this last visit was absolutely horrendous. The property was undergoing renovations—a major disruption that was never disclosed on the Hyatt website when we booked. Upon arrival, the staff was dismissive and indifferent to the chaos. There was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, just a curt suggestion that we could find another hotel if we didn’t like it. I’ve never felt so inconsequential as a guest. To add insult to injury, the post-stay survey focused entirely on how “sustainable” the hotel was. Here’s a thought, Hyatt: prioritize customer satisfaction before preaching about saving the planet.

The hotel was undergoing massive renovations, so it was not the usual stay. I do like the location, but the conditions and parking were less than desirable. I will plan to stay again once the construction is complete, scheduled for the end of December.
