Hyatt Place Scottsdale/Old Town

Fair overall due to construction. Much better before tge refurbishing. Needs to have someone from management who is really good at details.

There was no breakfast and the hotel is going through a massive renovation and wasn’t posted on their website. I was very disappointed to find out that the hotel was in a construction zone with contractors everywhere. A smell of paint, it all seemed unsafe to be hosting customers.

Staff and rooms are great. Just under construction at the moment. No big deal to me, but a little dusty as expected and hard to maneuver with contractors.

When we booked two rooms we were not told that the property was under construction. I would have preferred to stay somewhere else. There was a bachelor party in the room next door that partied until 5 am and the construction started very loudly outside our window at 6:20 am. I have not had good luck With Expedia lately and I use them for all my travel. I May need to seem out another option

When we arrived at this hotel we noticed that the reception was at the back of the building, this was because the hotel was being restructured and was literally a building site. We checked in the temporary reception and asked the reason why we weren’t notified about the building works, but no response was given. The whole hotel apart from the room was a building site,including the lift. The room was large, clean, with a good size bathrooom, separate living room and there was a small kitchen available. We stayed one night and when we left the day after, a large group of builders were sitting and standing outside the temporary reception

The hotel is under construction. The front entrance blocked and very poor signage directing u around to back of hotel There is no lobby or lobby bar. Check in was at a folding table in an empty room. Outside in the hall was a snack center Elevators were filthy with construction materials and torn up cardboard on the floor Requested housekeeping and at 4 pm room was still unserved It took 3 phone calls and maid said we were not on list!!!! Night staff were extraordinary kind and hospitable. Coffee was weak. It was a deplorable experience and not conducive to working on a business trip.

The women at the check in desk were incredibly nice. Bedding was comfortable Love the location too

This hotel is under construction in a very big way. I would probably not invite guest at this time to stay there because it feels very dirty and dusty and not ready for bookings. They say they send an email in advance to let you know, but I did not receive an email because I booked through hotels.com.
