The rooms were so gross, black mold in the shower, food spilled in the fridge, cobwebs every where. I don't think the rooms have been cleaned in years.
Rustic, clean. Reasonable price and good location. Liked the knotty pine. Frig freezer needs a defrost.
No wifi or breakfast. Small and a little run down with thin walls. We used as a midway point back home and didn't end up staying while night
Obviously an older Motel and the Red lights over every door was a little concerning, but the beds were comfy and the rooms was relatively clean. I prefer mom and pop places to chains so I expect some quirks when I choose my motels.
Great quaint place to stay. We are repeat customers. Close to most everything. Time to upgrade to new thicker towels.
Terrible internet. Floor was slanted. Just not worth the money.
Only WIFI is if you are in the office. Rooms are clean. Microwave, frig A/C, heat, seating out the room door. No chairs inside room. Friendly staff. Many restaurants, shops, marina in town, music during the summer as advertised. The Straits Beer Fest was very fun, worth planning to go.
It’s was okay. Definitely dated, which I knew from the photos. Quaint area. Internet was almost non existent though.
Cozy cabins. Access to beach is valuable if you want to walk it, possible for some distance, but some obstacles or have a fire and it is not too windy. The water is really cold, too cold for my teenage kids who have swam our whole trip in plenty of cold water. It is colder on this Lake Huron side than the Lake Michigan side. Staff is nice, but gone a lot, so not always easily accessible. Towels in room our really thin, hard and cheap. Price of room is a value, but towels quality were even below the value price of room, just like large rags. Shower and beds were just fine. AC unit is super dirty old, loud and does not get the job done fast or even fully, at least in our room. This property should not list that it has wifi. The wifi did not work over half the time. It was frustratingly lost/dropped/cut off all the time or it could not be found. If we had known this we would not have stayed here. On the plus side, the staff is nice and the accommodations are clean.
