Courtyard by Marriott Florence

First room we went to was dirty. Put in second room, still smelled bad. Would not revisit here.

Hotel was located very close to our entertainment venue. Appeared clean and well maintained for the most part. My issue was with our room. Upon entering, it had a musty smell. Once we turned the a/c down, we lesrned that it was draining into the room so 1/3 of the carpet was wet!

Dismissive and inconsiderate staff and dogs barking day and night.

The air conditioning unit was loud and noisy and I think the thermostat may be not accurate because room would get hot.

We were at this hotel in early June 2024. We were not aware that there were major renovations going on. We also learned upon arrival that the bistro was closed. I called 2 weeks prior to booking a room there again in mid-September 2024. I was told there was no construction going on and that the bistro was open. When we arrived, we saw major construction going on in the lobby. The bistro was not open due to the employee's no show. We were told the manager was going to open the bistro. The manager did not show up prior to our having to leave. We went to use the shower only to have to shower with brown water. We will never, ever stay there again. There are plenty of other options at this exit off of I95.

Trash can underneath tv had trash in it. Soap holders in bathtub where not cleaned correctly, there where 2 soap holders. Bottom one was filthy and full of mold and rust. Bathroom floor had dirt with foot prints. Complimentary coffee was ready by 0730. Most people traveling wake up early to get on the road to avoid traffic. My opinion 0530 to 0600 would be a better time.

This is a horrible property, very poor customer service. I would not recommend staying here. All workers have very bad customer service. Marriott really needs to let this property go. I spend to much money with the brand for poor customer service. Came to this property late evening. When I checked in, my room was smelling like urine. Come to find out, it was the shower curtain. I had to ask for a new shower curtain, and I had to put it up myself. I was really ready to leave. The next morning, the air conditioner leaked all over the carpet. The shower and sink were stopped up. It was hair all over the bathroom, and it wasn't my hair. The property allows animals of all sizes here, and they were making a lot of noise. 0-

In the middle of a hot summer, the AC didn’t work. Wife was told “no refund, don’t even ask” because we booked with Expedia. Double mistake here.

I booked a reservation for my mother who is driving from New Jersey to Florida and she got stuck in South Caroline due to hurricane Debbie. Amit has been incredibly helpful I can't thank him enough! Amazing staff, very respectful, and very understanding. 10/10 would stay here if/when I ever travel to South Carolina.

The hotel was nice and clean
