Food prices too high bath tub was stained not enough covers on bed

Sorely disappointed in the quality of this Courtyard. Mattresses worn out, not the comfort you would expect for the brand. Old bathroom insert shower/tub. Poor water flow from shower. Thermostat did not work. It was a cold night in Florida, (in the 30’s), and the temperature of the room kept dropping. Over $300/night. Seems to me they are taking advantage of the convenience of being on Mayo campus. Certainly expect better from this brand regardless of location. Have stayed at budget hotels that were much nicer and half the price.

The noise of construction was damaging ot hear

The location is ideal for Mayo Clinic patients. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Food was pricey but good. The room was average but clean. The bed was comfortable. The room layout made little sense. Picture a square room, king sized bed on the right wall. Huge armoir on the top wall. Right beside it is a 4 drawer chest with the TV on top. In order to see it from the bed, one must physically pull the chest away from the wall and then extend the TV on its stand. Good thing this 80 year old woman is very strong. The other thing is this room was considered to be an "accessible" room. There was no tub but a low threshold shower. That was fine and worked well. BUT, this accessible bathroom at a facility built on the Mayo Clinic campus to cater to patients with medical needs had NO GRAB BARS for the toilet! In addition, the layout did not allow for a person's rollator to be put in front of the toilet so one had to sit side-saddle. The pricing was high for the general condition of the hotel but as they say location location location.

This hotel is located on property owned by Mayo. We stayed there twice, both times to be close to Mayo for medical procedures. The staff is pleasant and helpful. There is a small dining area located on the first floor with a limited but tasty menu. Very convenient place to stay if Mayo is your destination.

The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful..but that is about all I can say. This whole hotel should be shut down and remodeled. Is dark and gloomy. Room are very dated, Lots of road noise and people talking in the hallway. From the time I walked in the front door I felt totally uncomfortable. It’s in a great location if you are using the Mayo Clinic and can walk across street to have hospital access and food.

We originally reserved the Courtyard by Marriott across the street from the Mayo Clinic for obvious reasons - it was a very short walk to see our surgeon. But after staying there multiple times the past few months, we appreciated GM David Mason and his outstanding Team more than ever! The atmosphere and rooms are impeccable, and their diner is very nice (and hosts are great!), but truly it's the team that makes the property so desirable! At a time when we are not always at our best, they truly were and constantly assisted us with whatever needs we had. Thank you to an amazing and empathetic team!

The reason this hotel survives is that it is across the street from the Mayo Clinic. If it was in another location it would close due to the condition of the hotel. It is old and needs a remodeling. While the Marriott chain has been updating its bathrooms which includes a walk-in shower, this property still has the old combination bath/shower. It does have a restaurant on site- service is friendly but the food is mediocre. Most guests (if not all) are patients at the Mayo Clinic. It is shameful that this property takes advantage of these patients by charging high prices and delivering an inferior product.
