Courtyard by Marriott Jacksonville at the Mayo Clinic Campus/Beaches

Comfortable beds but the room was dark and a bit smelly.

The great convenience is simply not worth it. It is SO close to the Mayo buildings but that proximity comes with a very low-value lodging experience. Where to begin...the biggest issue was the smell in our suite. We brought their attention to it and they sprayed the room daily (the staff member spraying even said the odor was very noticeable). This helped enough to allow us to stay here for four days. We did not change rooms because we needed the extra space for a 4-5 day stay. The AC in the bedroom was very noisy. I needed earplugs. Sink was slow to drain. The property is old and tired. The attention to the grounds is abysmal...broken branches and leaves in all the beds. Debris on sidewalks to the entrance ways. Note in pictures there was a Wawa cup sitting on a light post by one of the entrances for THREE days. Clearly no pride in maintenance. Pros were the staff was reasonably friendly and we asked for a discount when we checked out do to the above and they gave us a 15% credit. We will be coming back annually to the Mayo and will choose to stay elsewhere. The new Hilton a few blocks away that opens October 1st spells BIG trouble for this place.

No more conveniently-located hotel to the Mayo campus, but it’s in serious need of upgrading if you are going to charge $300+ per night. Carpet old. Just not up to par. Wifi didn’t work. No instructions in our room for anything. Front desk guy was nice. As a Bonvoy member, disappointed.

Very nice sit down selection from the menu (not a buffet self serve). The food is delicious and served quickly to make it easy to get to your appointments at the Mayo Clinic.

I have no disappointments.

The folks at the Mayo Clinic area Marriott in Jacksonville are the friendliest hosts I've come across in my years of travel to the Jacksonville area. In fact, we have resided at this hotel several times a year for over a decade. Breakfast and dinner are tasty, and the servers are always cheerful and helpful. The parking is safe, and besides having easy access to the Mayo Clinic Hospital, one is also fairly close to several shopping malls. My family's visits there have been enjoyable, and we will certainly return.

They changed our room which was nice. Our first room was dark and smelled like wet dog. You're paying for convenience. You can walk to the Mayo Clinic. Our second room was much better. It was light and we had a balcony. It smelled clean. The front desk staff were great.
