Travelodge by Wyndham Waukegan Gurnee

External needs much repair hall carpet & front entrances unacceptable, room um ok

Check in made put a deposit on the stay. The room had a layer of dust and was stained everywhere. Washcloth had some short and curlies and the lobby and halls were hotter than outside, it was 82 outside.

Prostitutes wondering the hallways. I had to put down a cash deposit even though I used Wyndham Points for my stay. My opinion is they are laundering money from some unlawful operation. Probably prostitution or sex trafficing.

The desk people were rude and the whole lobby reeked of cigarettes. One of them didn't know how to use the computer reservation system. They demand $20 in cash up front as a deposit to ensure we didn't smoke in the room. The hallway to the room smelled like weed. One of the beds had hair and "stains" on it. They inspect the room before checking you out. We got our $20 back. But the shower water was nice and hot

When i arrived they rufused a room to me with out a cash deposit. And told me to call my booking agency for a refund. So i left and went to another hotel. When i call expedia for a refund the travellodge refused my refund so the took my money and never gave me a room

It was okay except they charged me a $20 deposit when I secured the room with a charge card and they didn't give me the $20 back I don't understand that.

old hotel appears to be several long trem people staying here. . lots of smokers! exterior door not secure as the dont shut on thier own..Guestionable when they require $20 cash deposit! Prob why it was the cheapest rate around. Not sure why zWyndam has thier name on it

Avoid at all cost. We were only staying overnight to visit the Bristol Ren Faire and the only good thing about this place is that it was 20min from the faire. Even with a non-smoking room it was disgusting and reeked. ero consistency in water temp, absolutely gross everywhere. I didn't even want to sleep here because it was so bad, but I needed to sleep somewhere and had already paid (twice). They canceled my non-refundable booking from Expedia and charged me another 140 ot stay. What a joke. The shower had no drain cover, the towels were literally threadbare and the sheets and furniture were covered in cigarette burns.

Charge a $20 deposit on check in cash only no credit card, and attempted to not issue a receipt. I got the receipt eventually. This is not right, cash requires receipt. How does anyone know that check out clerk will say I don't have your deposit. This deposit was NOT on the web site. And then they have to inspect room in morning before getting deposit back. Room as ok. Bed was ok. Hallways terrible smoke and mildew smell. This is my first bad review and I hate doing this. But this management needs to get their act together.

We were unable to stay at the property because our flight was delayed by 5 hours which kept s from staying at the property.
