Hotel del Coronado, Curio Collection by Hilton

Wendy Wolf took excellent care of all our food, cocktail and even sandcastle enthusiasm on the beach ⛱️ 😀. Great stay and ghost hunting experience too!

We rode the Old Town Trolley over the Coronado Bridge and then toured the Hotel Del Coronado. The hotel is very interesting to check out. The lobby is facinating and the landscaping and gardens are beautiful. We learned a lot of history about the island and the hotel on the trolley tour. Take some time to walk the beautiful beach adjacent to the hotel.

Absolute rip off for the price everything is dirty dated old and beat up. Super small room rooms absolutely disgusting not modern in anyway. Another ripoff cuz “ they gotta pay their staff.”

Everything was super old and dirty and we absolutely got ripped off way too expensive. I could’ve stayed in a motel. Unbelievable.

During our stay we received a text asking how things were going. We replied with a few concerns. The reply seemed to bounce everything back to us somehow. Just a very poor level of customer service. While the Victorian hotel rooms have been nicely renovated, the amenities are sub-par from the thin toilet paper and Kleenex, to cheap thin towels and bed linens, bottom of the line coffee maker, blow dryer, patio furniture and not a qtip or cotton ball to be found. Coffee cup had a chip and was not replaced even after several requests. Like I said, it’s the little things that set a first class hotel apart. This hotel missed the mark with amenties more on par with a Motel 6. We did eat at several of the restaurants. The food was good, but expensive. At the expensive breakfast buffet we were shocked to find the cappuccino and omelet were both extra charges to the already high cost.

It was so private, quet and nice then by weekend floods of just random people who don’t even stay in the hotel filled the beach, ground and even inside of the hotel (no-one checks and it's safe, especially with American gun culture). That’s when The Coronado lost its magic!

I wanted to share some feedback regarding our current stay. We chose your hotel over other options we typically visit for staycations, and unfortunately the experience so far has been quite disappointing — particularly the level of customer service. We’ve found it difficult to get clear guidance and support from staff, which has made what should be a relaxing stay feel unnecessarily frustrating. Given the reputation and price point of the hotel, this has not met expectations. I would really appreciate speaking with a manager to address this and see how this can be improved during our stay
