Didn’t hear other residents in my room Good central position in the city. Enough room in car park

Noisy rubbish disposal centre right outside my room - huge noise from 6 am. No soap in bath, nowhere to put items - had to bring in the stool ! Glass bath screen not clean. Twice my key would not work so had to get new ones from check-in. Price for breakfast was an extra £15 ! So I had my own in my room

So close to the town and the Winchester Cathedral.

It was outdated needed upgrading in the rooms

Location was excellent. Bed very comfortable

Catering was a nightmare. They only had a skeleton staff for each meal who couldn’t cope with the numbers. We couldn’t get a meal when we arrived and breakfast was so poor- the buffet ran out of everything. Coffee machine and toasters didnot work.

Broken lock on bedroom door. Broken springs in mattress. No safety rails or mat in bath on which textured surface had rubbed smooth. No hotel information in room - simply given scruffy photocopied sheet on arrival, but nothing about town. Would not refund anything for cancelled second night. Very few staff around e.g. to serve in bar. Room called ‘compact double’ but bed pushed against a wall. Was told that ‘compact double’ is the name of the bed, but the website does not explain that, so very misleading. Generally a very substandard experience which made me check out after one night. No response after 36 hours to the email sent to the manager.

Location Central.

Half a used hummus dip left in the fridge by previous occupant. Clearly it hadn't been cleaned or anti bacterialed. Very dated but adequate.
