Holiday Inn Basildon by IHG

We recently stayed in the Holiday Inn where we had a great experience! We had lovely service from Thayn in the bar area. He is professional, personable and a perfect pourer of Guinness! An absolute credit to the business! Thank you very much!

The Basildon team are always helpful, particularly Thayn who consistently delivers outstanding customer service. Clean, uplifting environment with a lovely garden area. 10/10 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Holiday Inn Basildon - attended a conference: thank you to the staff who were all friendly and helpful - shout out to Thayne who made sure that catering was perfect throughout the day! Very good conference facilities, with a very nice bar area and outdoor seating area overlooking well kept gardens.

AC was good, bed was real comfy.

The hospitality we experienced was unmatched. Starting with Roberta at the front desk, her professionalism/ patience was greatly appreciated. Moving on to the Bar-tenders; Teddy, Thayn, and Matt were unmatched when in came to personality, charisma, and assimilation with all of their guests. I have stayed in many prestigious destination resorts, and the services provided by those three men made the service of a 5 star resort look like a motel. Keep those Lads around no matter what it takes.

Roberta at the front desk was helpful and lovely. Teddy, Thayn, and Matt at the bar were incredible. They anticipated our needs and delivered unparalleled personalized service that made us feel at home. We will definitely be back!

Recently attended HIB for an event in one of the meeting rooms. Venue was good and all staff helpful, but Thane went above and beyond to assist us where he could and was a great help! It’s people like him that make us want to return again in the future. Nothing was too much. Thanks Thane and the team at HIB.

I have stayed at this hotel on business for a number of years. Having not been for a couple of years I was looking forward to going back. Unfortunately the room was not the cleanest, lots of hairs were left in the bath / shower, cups were not clean and there was water in the kettle still. To top it off, the boy racers on festival park were out in force for the two nights so had to endure revving engines, racing, noisy cracking exhaust noises till late!! Although this is not the hotels fault, it will prevent me from returning.

The staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and you are always greeted with a cheery smile. A special thanks to Joe, Thayn, Rudd, Paul, Dave & Dan for always looking after our Rotary Club every Thursday. The bar menu is really good and quite varied. Highly recommended

To say this hotel has amazing staff and fantastic food would not be an over statement! We opted to have the meal package with evening meal and breakfast included. All I can say was wow! On the evening meal I felt compelled to ask the bar staff/ waiters Thayn and Paul who were so helpful who the chef was as all three courses my wife and I had were not just generous portions but delicious! The food was cooked and presented to the highest standard. We were so glad we had chosen to stay at the hotel and eat , it worked out well and far less hassle!! The room itself was well presented and the Hypnos beds were super comfy!
