Friendly staff and very clean

2nd time here. Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, close to Southampton and the M3. One of the best Holiday Inn breakfast with fresh fruit, juice, yoghurt and muesli. I loved it and would recommend to other guests.

Perfect hotel if you are visiting Peppa Pig World! The attention to detail and everything for kids is brilliant; everything from the playroom, the voucher for a milk and cookie and plastic cutlery and plates for breakfast. Can’t fault this hotel at all, we loved our stay and will definitely be back.

A really nice hotel with lovely friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We had a large room at the front with a big TV and bathroom. Very comfortable rooms and a super breakfast. We would stay again when we are in Southampton and would recommend the hotel to our friends.

Good stay, rooms have been refurbished recently and are looking well for a face lift. Service on reception and at the bar lovely and friendly as always. Slight personal gripe in that I hate twin beds zipped together being classed as a double - I understand from business perspective but spend all night either in the dip or freezing as the duvet isn't big enough to cover both!

Emma was professional and helpful during check in. However, there was a disturbance in the room above my room which work my 4 years old daughter up and we were unable to fall asleep.

We stayed here as part of the break through Paultons Park. The hotel was clean and tidy and the restaurant was very clean and well staffed to ensure the tables were clean. Having two children we booked this hotel as it was close to Paultons Park (about 15/20 minutes) and due to having a play room and swimming pool. The play room was okay. There wasn’t many toys and there was a basket of broken toys by the door. The swimming pool as so cold and not enjoyable at all. We also booked due to the ‘kids eat free’ offer in the restaurant on the evening. Don’t be fooled by this offer though, after eating there one night, we realised that the price of the food and drink is a lot higher than normal and this is why there is an offer of ‘kids eat free’. Both adults had a chicken burger (which wasn’t that enjoyable), two glasses of Pepsi and two fruit shoots and it was £57, which we thought was a lot! Breakfast was great and there was everything you could want to eat, from a cooked breakfast, cereal, continental breakfast and pastries. The hotel looks as though it has had a bit of a renovation more recently, however I thought the swimming pool area and changing rooms were quite dated and needed refreshing. The rooms were clean and you couldn’t really fault them apart from a family of four (2 adults, 1 child and a toddler) in the room with a cot was a little tight and there wasn’t much space. It would be okay for a night but two nights or more felt very cramped. If you do request a travel cot, the mattress isn’t the full length of the cot so we had to wedge a pillow at the end to stop it moving. The staff were very attentive, giving us extra bedding and pillows when requested and the staff in the restaurant was very kind.

Great overnight option ahead of joining cruise from Southampton. All the staff are attentive and helpful. Our room was spotless, roomy and modern. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of options in the buffet. Our only suggestion would be to increase the number of EV chargers as only one was available. Our car stayed safely parked for the duration of the cruise.

We stayed at this hotel as part of the Peppa Pig World Package and I was very impressed with it. The rooms are very modern with good amount of space, the bed and bedding made for a very comfortable night's sleep and the TV being able to connect to your phone was so handy as I was able to put on my sons favourite programmes. The swimming pool and the play room are both added bonuses and make it ideal for visiting with children. For me though, the staff friendless and helpfulness definitely made our trip. I was travelling on my own with my young son who has autism and Kieran in the evening made my life lots easier by not only being very friendly and super adaptable at ordering but also brought my food up to my room for me when I had to leave the restaurant area before it was ready. Roger, in the morning at breakfast was also very helpful and accommodating as my son wasn't coping with the business of the restaurant and was clinging to me so Roger plated my food up for me and put it on a tray so we could take it back to our room to eat. These experiences really made all the difference to me so thankyou so so much 😊

We stayed here with our little girl for two nights as we treated her to a trip to poulton park for her second birthday and travelled around 5hours. There was myself, my partner my 2 year old and her nan & grandad joined too but they stayed in a separate room next door. The hotel was amazing could not fault this at all, from the food, to the staff, to the rooms all exceeded expectations! You always worry when you stay somewhere with a terrible two year old but the hotel was such a good kid friendly hotel, you didn’t feel judged at all! There were lots of other kids too so plenty of other friendly parents to talk too! There is a dedicated play room with lots of things to keep kids entertained with (they do need to be supervised though) but just meant me and my partner could take turns having 10 minutes at the bar 🤣 she received a kids activity pack on arrival, as well as a voucher for milk and cookies before bed which was a really nice touch. The room was amazing, they do supply travel cots if needed however my little one just stayed in our bed anyway as it was super big! It was clean and well stocked with towels, toiletries, tea coffee etc, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. The plug sockets do have USB and USB-C connectors too. If you do need any more tea coffee/ anything else just ask. The food & drinks are a little pricey considering there are pubs near by for cheaper if you’re on a budget, however the food is really good, and the staff are amazing. Always super friendly. We had breakfast each morning and again the food was amazing. There’s a wide selection of hot and cold foods, plenty of juice and tea and coffee. would definitely use this hotel if I’m down that way again
