A Hotel in a lovely setting with very helpful Staff and a very comfortable bed but sadly looking and feeling a little tired. Only one chair in a room for two people meant that if one needed to sit at the desk, the bed was the only other seating option - not Mercure’s usual standard. Breakfast was great but very much a DIY meal even for the drinks.

Lovely clean and comfy room. A few minor things could do with refurbishing like trims in bathroom and dimmer switch which was loose. Otherwise furniture is sturdy and a comfy ish bed. It is an old building so a little creaky on the stairs but not a real issue. Didn't sample food due to really early check out. Small B road out the front made for a but of disturbed sleep as not double glazed so have requested a back room for my next stay. Very pleasant staff. I did enjoy the bath as I don't have one at home!

Very friendly staff, they even offered me de-icer for my car.

Hotel nice and clean, room clean, Bar prices extortion, I don't drink that often at those prices it's a good job that I don't.

Great staff, clean rooms most importantly. However room was dated and covered with bugs and spiders, would do with a refresh, dated but safe clean and would stay again!

This hotel is a large converted Italianate mansion set back into large grounds. It fit the purpose of what I was looking for - a quiet, comfortable night's sleep on the way to an appointment nearby the next day. It could clearly benefit from a large sum of money being spent on it, but whilst dated it kind of suited the character of the place and can no way be described as dilapidated. I had a good evening meal, reasonably priced and the usual hotel buffet-style breakfast. The room was a satisfactory size (I was travelling alone) and, more importantly, clean.
