Mercure Leeds Parkway Hotel

The staff were excellent. One if our rooms was good, the other had a broken telephone and broken cupboard door, no remote for the TV. Also room service not available which would have been good to know on arrival. Food in the restaurant was excellent.

From a perspective of running business meetings whilst staying in the hotel, it doesn't tick every box Staff - brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. Any issue was quickly resolved in my favour Bedrooms - comfortable and typical of a hotel of its quality Meeting rooms - dated overall. Overhead projectors are a bonus, nullified to a point by not fitting HDMI connections at the same time, requiring Heath-Robinson jobs to get the cable to my laptop. Food - pleasant and typical of a hotel of its quality Internet - for a business focused hotel, appalling. Even the supposedly more robust conference router was unable to handle my early morning internet usage, when I was probably the only person in the hotel using it , rather than the guests router. For business usage a serious upgrade in capability is required The proposed winter 2021 refurb programme is overdue and hopefully a massive WiFi upgrade ill be part of this.

Carpet on the way to the room were worn. Stuck on the top floor and below must of been a bar which was very noisy until late in the night. Top floor had a bad smell due to someone having previously smoked cannabis in one of the rooms

The hotel in quite old and in my opinion in need of a make over. The room was not very clean and was also dusty. We ate one night in the restaurant, which had a very limited menu and was overpriced. I had fish and chips (not cod) for £15 and my partner had Caesar Salad at £13 (she had to pay £3 extra for the chicken and another £3 for the Halloumi) over all the staff we very friendly.

The place needs a complete refurb - we wont be staying here again

Hideous experience - despite paying for a room - hotel had no knowledge of booking and was full. Left to rectify this myself - not able to speak to a human at Expedia

Hotel was clean but slightly tired looking

Dirty rooms, outdated decor - wallpaper falling off the walls, old dirty carpet. Mould in the bathroom. Damp smell in the whole hotel. Would not reccomend to anyone.

I didn't like the fact that I had driven 2.5 hours and you (Expedia) hadn't booked the hotel. That is literally your only job and you couldn't do it. The staff in the hotel were very helpful & friendly and tried to find us alternative accommodation. If only you were anywhere near as useful.
