Mercure Leeds Parkway Hotel

Friendly staff, helpful and welcoming. Our room was 2 single beds as expected. Very small gap between the two beds as the room was quite small. The bathroom was dated but functioned well. There were a few stains in the carpet and marks on the ceiling but bedding and towels were clean. Our room had a balcony which was nice. We didn’t use the leisure facilities.

Very nice, comfortable hotel. Excellent swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room which is free for guests to use. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. We also booked afternoon tea, which was lovely.

Staff were very friendly & helpful. Would definitely visit there again. The pool could do with being warmer, but the children were quite happy with it.

Had been let for loud advance which meant rooms couldn't be slept in before very early in the morning. Staff unwilling to help and were actively rude to members of the party. Would never stay again.

Dreadful! Room was extremely tired & grubby. In desparate need of complete revamp. Asked for room with a walk-in shower instead of bath, got given room with lower level wc and washbasin for disabled (at knee height!) Had to kneel down to use the sink! Booked room for two occupants, but room had only one set of towels, and no toiletries. Asked for more towels and toiletries - got told by staff that housekeeping had left, so will have to wait to see if they could find some. Telephone in room had broken disconnected handset, so took it to reception. Response was oh dear! TV had a broken ariel cable, so no TV working. Table and chairs in patio area for room filthy, covered in bird mess, not cleaned since ever! Unusable! Kept awake until 1.00am by the band playing very loudly for the wedding reception being hosted at hotel. was not allowed to book breakfast for 9am, as too busy at that time, got offered 8am or 10am only. I use a CPAP machine overnight, hence need an electricity socket somewhere beside the bed. No socket on bedside wall, so had to use an extension lead plugged in on opposite side of the room with lead trailing to the bedside. Dreadful night's sleep as being disturbed most of the night by noisy guests using the garden area outside our room to continue partying throughout the night then eventually returning from the wedding reception and being noisey in corridors and banging doors. All in all a terrible experience for a planned quiet Friday night. Sheets were clean!

Arrived before book in time and used the leisure facilities until book in time .. water in pool was cold but the attendant advised us of this…returned after mamma Mia concert about 22:30 to go to bed but Rooms very warm (no air con ) and couldn’t have a window/door open due to wedding guests in the courtyard below and wedding reception disco music very loud in a function room opposite . Good location for trip to Harewood house .

Hotel was in need of some renovation. Wall paper was coming off walls, carpets were grubby looking. Restaurant was slow but staff did explain there would be a wait as was understaffed. I had to swap my dining chair as it was so badly stained on the seat it looked revolting. Bed was comfy but pillows were hard. The pool was freezing. The best bit about the stay was the breakfast, lovely breads, croissants, lovely fresh fruit and a decent fry up.

We arrived late at the hotel to be told that they had sold our family room. We were told that someone rang us and was told we were not coming anymore. We never had any phone call! We had to wait about half an hour to wait for them to find us rooms for the night. We got move the next day to a family room which beds were not made properly. One of the single beds which was for one of our children was made very poorly. Springs had came off caused a big dip on the bed. There was no AC in the rooms so it had to asked for fans. The rooms were tired which definitely could do with some renovation. The hotel was queit enough to have a decent sleep though so that wasn't too bad.

Not the best…service not great

Friendly staff but the hotel is in a shockingly dated condition. It appears to be completely starved of investment by the Mercure brand. Heavily stained carpets and seating, springs missing off kids beds, spa area barely function-able, litter on grass just mown over. I’m not sure what it says about the ‘Mercure Quality Guarantee’
