Mercure Leeds Parkway Hotel

Property needs updating and refurbished. The public areas need some attention is thread bare carpets and hoovering required

The stay was awful mainly because of how noisy the guests were meaning that we didn't sleep well both nights that we stayed there. The walls were so thin it felt that people next door were in your room. There was loud singing and partying well past 2am in the morning on both nights. On top of that the beds were particularly hard so not comfortable to sleep in and the cleanliness in the bathroom wasn't without flaws.

Staff friendly. Problems with key card for room acess.Not enough disabled parking /access. Cutlery in restaurant filthy. Glass of wine £9.00 ...ridiculous. Room dirty It was a bed for our weekend ..won't be staying again...

Really good hotel hash browns and black pudding could of been better but the breakfast was great apart from that

The room we were given was in desperate need of a revamp. Stains all over the walls, ceiling falling down, lights without a lampshade, stains on the carpet.... i could continue. Possibly one of the worst hotels i've ever stayed in, and I'm a regular in an easy jet hotel. I had called and asked for an early check in, however when we arrived we were told we wouldn't be able to have a twin for early check in, only a double. I'm not sure of this organisation level, they knew in advance we needed a twin early. Whilst we were happy to pay the £20 fee as we had to get changed, i felt the fee was overpriced, much like the hotel cost. Breakfast on the plus side had good choice and we enjoyed the fact the hotel bar let us take a bottle of wine to the room. The spa facilities were basic and outdated but enjoyable all the same.

The hotel is ok, quite dated and perhaps not a fantastic

Hotel is tired but little touches were missing and staff seemed to not care. No toilet roll and dirty toilets in the bar, when staff told they didnt do anything and were standing around. No towels in room on arrival, curtains half falling down, maintenance issues with dripping water all night so we had no sleep. Shame as it could be a good place if someone statted to care, sort this one out mercure not one of your best!

So disappointed with this hotel. Old and in need of a refurb I can cope with but to be completely dirty is unacceptable. As soon as I walked in it was obvious that the hotel wasn’t clean. I don’t think the stairs had seen a vacuum cleaner in months. The room was falling to bits and the bathroom was just a joke. I travel a lot for work and I’m away 2 to 3 nights a week and this is by far the worst hotel I’ve seen in a long time. The breakfast was good but even the cutlery wasn’t clean. I picked a mug up and it nearly slipped out of my hand it was that greasy. I do need to say that in the main the staff were friendly and they tried their best. I picked this hotel for a family stay for a function we were attending near by. I didn’t read the reviews and I wish I had but I picked the hotel based on facilities like pool and gym. The hotel was not worth the money I paid. If it had been priced at below £80 per night then I could maybe expect the standards.

No room available on arrival despite booking confirmation on Aug 8 and confirmed arrival time from email on Aug 21. Room was made available to us but was without TV controller and lead to TV. Only one set of towels and bathroom tissue box empty. Manager was good and sorted the problems and gave us sustenance on the house after what was a stressful arrival after a long day on the road.We were told that the booking had not been confirmed by Expedia even though they had my name on their system. Altogether a very unsatisfactory experience so much so that we have cancelled our next trip to Hunstanton because we don’t need the hassle again.
