Homewood Suites Williamsburg

Our room fell far below Hilton standards, which is especially disappointing since it was an automatic upgrade to a 2BR suite as a Diamond member. This was the last night of an 18-day road trip, and we had plans to meet friends shortly after check-in. It wasn't until we returned later that we noticed the condition of the room. Lamp shades damaged and stained. Sofa bed cushions so worn that they sank down into the frame of the sofa. We skipped the complimentary breakfast in the unattractive lower lobby. Couldn't wait to leave. On a positive note, the manager, Kijana Casserly, was very helpful as I tried to locate the ice machine shortly after checking in.

I have been staying at this Homewood Suites for over 10 years. The reason is the amazing Staff. The staff addresses me as Mr._____ every time I walk thru the doors . I have many choices of where I can stay when I travel for business in Williamsburg, but this Place is my Favorite by far. I also want to praise their excellent manager Kijana Casserly whose dedication to making my stays feel like I am in my home away from home when I am their guest.

We had an issue that was addressed the next day by the hotel staff. Please make it clear to guest that there is a 100.00 hold fee. I did not see this information on the website nor did I recieve any communication regarding a hold fee. I know most hotels do hold credit cards on file in case of damages. I usually receive a notice before check in at other hotels iso I was not prepared for this expense which prevented us from doing some of the activities we had planned for.

We had a great stay. Hotel room was clean and comfortable, the kids loved the pool, and we had a nice family cook out on the patio in between Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. Lots of options at the complimentary breakfast. Trevaughn at the front desk was professional and friendly, and he went above and beyond to make our stay great!

Rooms smaller than expected. Need towel racks in bathroom/shower. Need hanging hooks in bedrooms and behind doors. Expected more privacy in bathroom sink area out of view from kitchen/living room area.

Hotel was clean, which is very important! A lot of hotels don’t hold to that standard, actually looking and feeling clean. Breakfast was great! Area was great! Service and staff were great!

The pool is very nice

the pet area wasn't very pet-friendly - an poorly maintained slope and marshy area with sign: Watch for snakes --YIKES! the staff was very helpful and friendly; good space overall; had a problem with dishwasher, but extremely friendly, helpful maintenance guy showed us that a switch on the wall needed to be flipped --a label is needed there. very limited breakfast menu compared to other Homewood Suites facilities.
