This was a nice experience. I grew up in Chicago and was always in awe about McCormick Place. So I was excited to stay at the hotel. It was a great encounter. I requested a high floor and was granted one. The view of the city and lake was wonderful. The bed was comfy and the room had what I needed. The hotel also has local stores and restaurants nearby. My favorite is White Castes. As a child, I wanted a lodging experience, so this was somewhat of a dream come true.

Nice hotel, but aggravatingly strong chemical smell in the room. The room was otherwise well equipped. The shower was the best!

The hotel was mostly well kept, and the staff were very nice, but the bed was very uncomfortable and I had issues sleeping. I asked for a feather-free room, and the pillows were flat, and the bed felt like sleeping on a piece of plywood covered in sheets and a thin layer of foam.

We stayed here because the hotel is connected the convention center. This would be important if weather is bad. Even so, the completely indoor walk about at least 10 minutes to either the North or South hall, but 20 min if you go the wrong way. The front desk was super efficient handling the groups checking in. We appreciated the Halloween candy and water while we waited. There are a limited number of eateries within walking distance. We tried Fatpour and Haidilao Hot Pot for dinner, which were ok. The hotel's restaurant and cafe were sufficient for coffee, snacks and one dinner. This is our second stay here, and I'm sure we'll be back.
