Moon Isle Beach Bungalow

The host Mandy is so nice! The location leaves you speechless as it’s a private beach-spot. We stayed in the cabana and it’s definitely a unique experience. Don’t expect too much comfort but the sound of the waves makes it so cool! Also it’s a very unique vibe. We also had included breakfast that was tasty and very rich. Meals were also available all day, also good food. My boyfriend asked the staff to do some birthday arrangements & they were sooo beautiful and lovely!

The cabana is really small and also the bathroom is not „beautiful“. The water from the tap was sometimes stinking - but not all the time. There could be added a mirror in the bathroom and maybe some hangers. BUT you get what you see & for us the uniqueness made those little things meaningless.

Mandy is a smart and nice owner. The hotel is very closer to sea. We can sleep with the song of sea. The food is good and delicious. The neighbor is DIVE Center.

Our favourite place in Sri Lanka! Mandy is a wonderful host and made us feel at home right away. The hotel is located on a pristine bit of beach slightly away from the busier Nilaveli and Uppuveli beaches, which was perfect for us. We also organised a trip to Pigeon Island from just outside the hotel, which was an highlight. Our room was lovely and comfortable with a gorgeous sea view, and the dinner was exceptional. We hope we can come back one day!

Nothing - it was perfect!

This place was amazing, right on the beach . The owner, Mandy ,will let you feel at home cuddling you every day. The food was also super good. We stayed at the cabana, so you have to have a bit of an adventure spirit and not mind nature noises, that can be pretty loud during the night. It was cozy and still it was amazing just to walk down few step and be on the beach.

We spent 4 nights in this amazing place. We enjoyed everything there. The bungalow is directly at the beach, surrounded by no other hotel. We really enjoyed going out of our room and directly being at the beach. Mandy and her great employees try really hard to make your stay perfect. Thank you to all of you for your great job - better passion 😇 If I am am in Sri Lanka again I will for sure try to come again!!!!!

We loved our stay here! The location is perfect - right on a stunning beach with gentle waves & the water is the perfect temperature. Just a short walk to some great bars & restaurants. Mandy was an amazing host who was always up for a chat & a laugh & was super helpful arranging tours or transport etc. We highly recommend!

Nothing we didn’t like but be aware the amenities are pretty basic - if you are looking for luxury this might not be for you. The property is comfortable and clean & very relaxed.

Mandy and the team at Moon Isle Beach Bungalow are like a family and made us feel completely at home. The location is unbeatable - it's paradise! And the food is amazing, freshly cooked, authentic Sri Lankan. Really hope we'll be able to return one day.

Maybe due to the price slightly higher than similar stays in Sri Lanka, it might take a minute to fall in love with Moon Isle upon arrival. However, you’ll soon realize than you’ve landed in a corner of paradise. The location is amazing, right on a private beach in the best area of Nilaveli, with crystal clear water. Mandy and her staff will soon make you feel at home, caring and looking after you the whole time. Rooms are cozy and clean, with perfectly working a/c. The food is amazing, better than any top rated restaurant in the area. They also have a diving center on the property, and the staff there is amazing and qualified. Moon Isle is the perfect place to relax and lose track of time. We will be back!

Leaving. The Wi-Fi is sometimes weak, but it’s part of the experience and it allows you to forget about the outside world.

I loved the location and the people. Mandy is exceptional, as is her partner. They made our stay one of the best we had in Sri Lanka.
