Moon Isle Beach Bungalow

Magnificent location, right on a beautiful beach really great for swimming and sunrises. Outstanding food, really friendly and helpful hostess Mandy who makes you feel totally at home. Great place to meet other traveller's. Cabin was basic but had super comfy bed and even A/C and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was pure magic! Loved the cows on the beach too. One of my favourite stays in Sri Lanka!

Food orders take 40 mins to an hour , so don't wait til you are hungry to order! Amazing food though so worth the wait. Cabin could do with a little TLC, but I loved it anyway!! Rubbish on the beach nearby was off putting.

Everything was perfect. Mandy couldn't do enough for us . The food was fantastic. We will return.

Everything. It's a stunning location. And so relaxing to be there. It felt like home.

Absolutely nothing.

Stepping from the room right onto the beach. The peacefullness of it all. The cooking! The hammocks for reading under the palms. And the dogs! A cracking stay on the east coast.

The host Mandy and the staff made our stay enjoyable.

The solar hot water system did not have an electric booster so on cloudy days the water (shower) is cold.

This is a beautiful beachfront property to stay at. The view was amazing with the sound of the waves. Just sit back and relax. Amanda was an amazing host. Very friendly and helpful. She even drove us to the nearest bus stand herself as we had a bus to catch. She offered us some really tasty and delicious local cuisine. String hoppers, dal and potato curry with coconut sambol. Thoroughly loved the experience of staying here for 2 days.

Nothing much. Just some minor issues which were fixed promptly once we reached out. Little remote so it's better to rent something or use local buses as tuktuks are expensive there
