Club Wyndham Avenue Plaza

This is an old tired hotel where things break down and they're not fixed for days or even weeks. The staff makes a lot of promises, but they don't follow through. Three different people in different circumstances told me they would call me and I never heard from them. The location is good at the fringe of the garden district.But don't go by the hotel picture they put up. There's only so much lipstick you can put on this pig. My wife and I stayed here twice on either side of a one week cruise out of the port of new orleans. While we might come back to New Orleans, we will never stay in this hotel again.

The cleanliness and construction outfront.

The room is very nice and sizable. Our beds were very comfortable. Location is right in the garden district. Trolley stops right across and Uber/taxis stops right by the entrance. Hotel lobby closes at 10PM and after the entrance is by the card.

I was asked if I am traveling with a man upon checking in. Very unusual in 2025. I was seriously never asked this before. At times we waited for an elevator for 20+ minutes.
