Very nice family holiday in this hotel. Facilities for kids (especially the stables and ponies) were excellent. Food was really nice also. The best family holiday we have had. Room had a spectacular view of the mountains and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere throughout.
I would not recommend it to couples or individuals looking for a quiet relaxing break. The pool was full of children. Also, we were woken a number of times by a loud group in the floor beneath us partying. So overall it was disappointing, we probably wont be back.
There is no denying that the hotel facilities are fantastic. However service was not as expected... our room was not ready until 4:30 pm, there was no bottled water in our room and finally a stranger accessed our room at 9am in the morning using his room access key..... lovely hotel but just not the expected five star experience unfortunately....
Pool changing areas and toilet was dirty. Some staff were very ott and quiet annoying. Especially at breakfast, a worker would not leave us alone because we had a new baby she literally sat with us it was very annoying.
I normally don’t wrote reviews but I just had to write one for this stay. My wife, son and I were so happy with our stay here. Every part of the experience was flawless. The check-in, the room, the restaurant and bar, the pool, playground for my son and everything else. We spent at least 2 hours walking around outside through their fairy trail and farm area petting horses and visiting the Dunloe castle that is on the property. Breakfast was great each morning and finally, they have complimentary horse back riding that my son loved! We would 100% stay there again and most likely will in the future!
This is an amazing hotel and property. Beautiful building in an absolutely gorgeous setting abutting the Killarney National Forest. The common areas are perfect and the staff is wonderful. Great amenities including free horseback riding, fishing, and hikes on the property. The included breakfast is the best I have had as an included perk. My only negative is that the rooms could be updated a tad, but they were still very clean and comfortable. We had a breathtaking view of the Gap of Dunloe from our room.
