Location is close to alot of places to eat.Room was nice, bed was comfortable. The shower had hot water the whole time and was really relaxing.

It is right in the middle of downtown Kitchener. Perfect location but parking is very difficult. We did purchase parking which you really have no other choice but it was convenient.

We found it rather cold in our room with the air ( supposed to be heat) blowing right on us. We didn't get a great nights sleep. Not a fan of feather pillows. Next time we will bring our own. Was a pleasant stay otherwise. We were not really there long enough to really experience it fully.

"An excellent experience in a historic hotel"

The Walper provided a modern experience in a historic hotel. All the spaces were updated beautifully, including the rooms and meeting spaces. I did not use the ballroom during my stay, but this space is elegant and historically preserved and would be fabulous for a large party, meeting or wedding. The modern fitness facility had Peloton bikes, treadmills, free weights and a weight machine which was very comprehensive. Due to it's status as a historic property, it does have it's quirks like not being able to control the temperature in each room individually, however, the front desk staff was very responsive and brought up a space heater which did the job. I found the staff to be very responsive, genuinely kind and accommodating. The restaurant had very good menu choices for breakfast and dinner and the staff there was also professional and attentive. I stayed 4 nights and would stay there again while visiting Kitchener.

"Save your money , not worth the cost"

Open your wallet & be prepared to be underwhelmed ... Absolutly outrageous costs for what is delivered, parking $25 when paying over $200 a night , resturant, way overpriced for what they deliver, and the room we had was tiny, with no furniture , hell the T,V wasnt even H.D ... while the hotel is noce, the value for the cost is out of touch... Downtown location, nothing but skids and crack heads stumbling around... never again , costs like this are he reason Air B&B have gained such a foot hold in the travel business
