- Amazing location close to transport and good food. - Hokomachi was very authentic but also spacious for our family. Had three small kids and the setup was very accommodating. - Hosts were incredible and showcased the Japanese hospitality that keeps us coming back to the country. - Tea ceremony from Mia was a highlight and the Japanese breakfast was great.

The property was wonderful, an absolutely stunning building with so much history. It is in a great location which made it easy to get to the various places we were visiting and conveniently close to shops and food/restaurants. The hosts were so warm and welcoming and really friendly and helpful throughout our stay - an absolute highlight of our stay here.

It was great so nothing really to dislike but a word of warning to taller folks - some of our group are quite tall so they had difficulties with the low ceilings/beams.

Ci è piaciuto tutto. Siamo stati davvero bene e Miha è stata davvero carinissima. Siamo arrivati la sera del mio compleanno e mi hanno regalato una nottigli di liquore tipico giapponese. Davvero gentili.

Forse per chi fa piu di una notte, varierei completamente la proposta di cibo, in modo da non essere ripetitivo. Forse anche un po’ di flessibilità sugli orari. Cena 18.00-18.30 colazione 08.00 (Seconda sera) Cena 17.30-18.00 colazione 08.00

"If I have the chance to visit Kyoto in the future, I will definitely want to stay here!"

We were in a perfect location to access popular sights in Kyoto and then relax at the end of the day. On arrival we found a spotless, traditional style home that had all the amenities we needed. A lovely touch was the fresh floral arrangement in the main room, and a small vase of flowers in each of the two bathrooms. The staff was very attentive and hospitable, and helpful with suggesting things we might like to experience in Kyoto.
