Travelodge by Wyndham Sharon Springs

Arrived at the hotel a couple hours before check-in time. Very confusing as to where to check-in (it's in the restaurant in front of the hotel). The lady at the counter seemed pretty pissed that we even dare ask if we could check-in. She was never checked to see if there were any rooms ready, she flat out told us - Check in is 4 o'clock. Go away and come back in two hours. We are not uptight people, but this kind of customer service is outrageous! She was just RUDE! We left - even though the rooms was prepaid - and continued on down the road for another hour toward home. We found a nice little small town motel and stayed there.

The bathroom was filthy and a previous occupant left food in the top dresser drawer. This was a family trip and we had four people. The beds were very small for two people each. The price was cheap so my expectations were low, but they were not met. On a positive note, the wifi worked well.

Would definitely stay here again, this was the last stop of a 10 day road trip, it was quiet and comfortable. The food in the diner was great too

Property is located in very small farming community and surrounded by farms. Scenic in its own way. Prices are cheaper than Goodland and hotels off I-70.

No frills hotel - clean and very spacious! We enjoyed the room and the lady who checked us in at penny’s diner was very friendly!

If I could give no stars I would. In 35 years of travel, this is the worst experience I've had. After driving 14 hours, I stop to check in at the hotel, the check in is in the diner in front of the hotel. The only person who can check someone has left to pick up a worker from the railroad. There are two other employees there, but they don't know how to operate the hotel computer (and the owner/manager doesn't want the to). They tried to call the clerk, no answer, 35 minutes later he shows up. Now, I had a reservation, so they know someone's coming (it's 10 pm) and It turns out the desk clerk, also prepares food in the diner. Why does the only one who knows how to operate the hotel system leave for more than 35 minutes (since he was gone before I got there, I'd assume 40-45 minutes minimum) when there are other employees who could pick up someone.

The hotel has thin walls so you can hear water running through the pipes all night long. Stayed an extra night and the second room we got had a door lock that dod not work which bothered us. Overall we would stay again.

I PRE-BOOKED 2 ROOMS. BOTH WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DOUBLE BED ROOMS. WE GOT THERE REALLY LATE AT NIGHT AFTER DRIVING ALL DAY AND THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY DOUBLE BED ROOMS CLEAN. WE HAD TO SPLIT UP THE FAMILY INTO THREE ROOMS SO WE COULD GET SOME SLEEP. THE NEXT MORNING A STAFFER KNOCKED ON THE DOOR TO FIND OUT WHY WE WERE IN A ROOM THAT WAS CONSIDERED OUT OF ORDER ON HIS LIST OF ROOMS.
