The Island Resort at Fort Walton Beach

The convenience was great. The food was fantastic. The pools were clean and beautiful. They had a lot of activities for the children.

My room was not correct and then they refused to switch me and make it right. The door to my room was very hard to close. You had to lift it up and slam it. I felt very bad for my neighbors. On the last day I noticed roaches in our room. I feel that the room I was placed in along with the ones around that area really need to be remodeled. The resort has so much potential.

The pool was great . being on the beach with kids was a plus

The bathrooms in room was horribly dirty , and the rooms was extremely hot . I've stayed here before and didn't have to pay for parking on the property, I think that is very greedy of the hotel to charge paying customers to park now on property. The rooms went up also but was willing to pay that because the area is great for kids. But paying to park somewhere you are staying is very horrible.

Beautifully located. We got married on the beach during our stay.

Absolutely outrageous prices for onsite drinks and food. If you’re paying the prices you do for a room the rest of your stay shouldn’t cost the same in food and beverage. Also we were charged a “smoking fee” of $250 when we don’t smoke or vape. Don’t make popcorn in your room as that will set the “detector” off and the fee is automatic. The resort WILL NOT remove this fee. We were told to fight it with our CC company.

WE HAD THE KING SUITE ROOM WAS HUGE. LIVING ROOM WAS ABLE TO USE AIR MATTRESS AND SOFA BED FOR KIDS. WIDE VARIETY OF ENTERTAINMENT. WE HAD A BEACH BALCONY AS WELL. WE LOVE IT SO MUCH THIS WAS OUR SECOND VISIT.

After being there 4 other times and absolutely loving everything. The only thing I liked this time was the consistency of Johonna in the store.

The room ac not working consistently, the fridge not working at first until I fixed it, the gap in the door to the room that was not sealed at all, the waitress who was very quick to bring the bill but absolutely terrible at everything else and would rather hang out in the kitchen, the changing of the quality of breakfast items and also the drinks offered at the bars.
