"Should have been closed while under construction."

Beds/ pillows were comfortable. Tv large

It was under construction. Lobby smelled musty. And had construction equipment, temporary walls etc. Room numbers were post it notes. Curtains don’t close.

Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was new and beautiful.

The TV had only 3 channels that worked even after we had the gentleman from the front desk came to fix it. The TV eventually went bad, and we couldn't watch it at all. The curtains didn't close so there was so much light coming through all night. Very bad.

The hotel is recently renovated and the rooms are really nice. Everyone we interacted with was very nice and responsive. It was a little difficult to get to because of road construction but that was certainly not the hotel's fault.

What I did like was that they had a brand new restaurant and the food was okay. The complimentary breakfast was really good to me because they actually made the eggs in the sausage with onions to give it flavor. And of course I like the surrounding area but it's unfortunate that that was the only hotel in that area

I didn't like that the hotel was under renovations and I could not use the pool after bringing the bathing suit. I had to change my room three times! The first room had bugs flying around. the second room the TV didn't work. And the third room front door didn't shut properly so had to always put the lock on plus it didn't have certain things that the other rooms had.

This previous reviews for this property were from before Hilton purchased the property from Wyndham and converted the hotel from a La Quinta to a Doubletree. I nearly passed on booking this hotel despite it being the most convenient location to Downtown Salisbury based on the reviews. They are no longer accurate. Our room is great. The pool is open. The onsite restaurant is very good. The staff has been extremely welcoming. There are a few signs of ongoing renovation as of 1/2/26, but they are purely cosmetic. If you are staying in Salisbury, the Doubletree is a great option!!!!
