Super 8 by Wyndham Hope

Good basic hotel on our way to Dallas. Suggested Sheba's for dinner, which we enjoyed.

Staff was very efficient and courteous. Condition of room is sub par. Very run down, funky smell, walls are filthy, ceiling is chipping and needs painting, bathroom is a disaster. Can’t believe they have a 7.2 rating

Shower didn't work well only 1 of us could shower. Dirty room, coffee pot didn't work, stains on sheets. They need to put money into this hotel. Will never stay there again!

Tub faucet would not shut off, lamp in room not working, rusty tub, filthy overstuffed chair, skimpy breakfast

The room we were given had an odd odor that we didn't recognize. The electrical outlets were inconvenient and one was broken.

The room was well over-priced, the place was ran down, not kept up. The beds were horrible, had a backache, there was a stain on my sheets, it was late, just slept on the other side. The air conditioner did not have an adjustment on the air control. For the price, there should have been more than cereal, juice, pastries, apples & oranges. The person who checked us in was great.

The hotel is somewhat outdated. Some renovations have been made but not professionally. Seems like they only cosmetically covered the problems. The sofa in place was also torn.

Very noisy group of eight Spanish-speaking men in the parking lot from 6:30-11. Staff said they could do nothing and that there were no security personnel. I asked staff to call the police to disburse the men. Finally, the men got in their vehicles and left. I don’t think they were motel guests. The breakfast was poor. Coffee urns were empty by 7:15 although breakfast goes until 9. The walls of our room needed cleaning or new paint. The uncomfortable beds made scrunchy sounds.

Management needs to step up their maintenance or this place will not last much longer. It is still a decent hotel and was comfortable and I could stay here, however, everything is worn out and damaged. Reclining chair in room has foam coming out of seat, walls have holes and very scuffed up. No water pressure. Maid needs to be replaced as they do not do a thorough job. Placards showing Wi Fi and door hanger covered with sticky substance I hope was food. As to the free breakfast it is actually a free breakfast item.

The staff was super sweet and friendly. Area wasn’t loud and we were close to Walmart so that was a plus. The room however had paint peeling off the ceilings, the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been wiped down ever, and the sheets were very thread bare.
