Red Roof Inn Lexington, NC

I'm fairly tolerant and I'd never refused to stay in a motel and demanded my money back until I had the bad luck to chance upon the Hwy 8. The carpet was disgusting, the sheets crumpled and, I think, unchanged from the last occupant. The air conditioning didn't work properly, the curtains were hanging off and the place was dingy and smelled of damp. I asked for a change of room, but the alternative was as bad. I can't see how this place stays in business. Had there been no alternative, I would have slept in the car.

Friendly people horrible rooms hairs on sheets mold in refrigerator did not sleep under blankets or take a showere left early next morning there was dead roaches on the floor mold on the sheets and pillowcases if we had the money to spare we would have never stayed. We even debated on sleeping in the car it was so bad. We kept our shoes on the entire time and slept in the same clothes.i kept waiting for the host from the show Hotel Hell to interview me about how bad it was. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place to someone i didnt like it was that bad!!

I couldn't lay on the sheets bc they had stains on them. Ended up sleeping with the one clean (that's how it looked) sheet. Then woke up with a HUGE bed bug underneath me!! #NeverAgain The rags and towels had stains on them cigarette holes everywhere the tub was dirty!! We wash with our flip flops on!! But had the nerve to charge $65 for this nasty behind room!😡

Never again! This was the NASTIEST place! There were cigarette butts on the floor and toe nail clippings, hair on the floor and in the tub, walls were just filthy and the bed had holes burnt in the bed spread the blanket under that was stained an nasty looking. The sheet was backwards to hide the ash stains. The towels was stained and dingy dirty. The wifi did not work. the pool is just a hole in the ground with no water. They should have to pay people to stay there!

This is not a pet friendly motel. I booked from another website that said it was. I also booked a smoking room. When I arrived they acted like they never got my reservation and gave me a non smoking room and the owner/manger wanted extra money to let me keep my pug saying they have never been a pet friendly motel and that I was mistaken. The room was nasty and when I went to check out the next morning at 8 am there was no breakfast and they have a sign saying breakfast between 7am and 9am but you have to eat it there. You are not allowed to take it back to your room.

We came to pick our daughter up from my parents and was to late to go back down the road to Georgia. The room was cleaned and the staff made us feel welcome. When I come back to visit again I would stay there again. It is close to the interstate and convenient to shopping and restaurants.

My first mistake was reserving a room through Hotwire. I was assured a quality room over the phone which was not true at all. They would not refund the entire amount . The room was so dirty that I had no words. Speechless! The carpet was torn and filthy and not vacuumed. The towels were the size of hand towels and stained. The bathroom light did not work so the man stood on the toilet to repair it! I could not stay there. I would not even allow my pets to stay there. It was aweful.

I rented this motel room with a whirlpool tub do I could relax my back after traveling. So I was all happy filled the tub up, jumped in, turned on the jets & all this black mold came rushing out of the jets. I've never moved so fast in my life to get out of the tub. The room I rented was a king bed but The comforter didn't even cover the bed, that should have been a tip off but I just figured new cleaning person or something. After jumping out of the tub, I turned on the bathroom lights & noticed there was mold in the rules & around the edges of the tub. Mold was also growing under the sink & the walls. It was ridiculous, my daughter's friend couldn't stop sneezing. I would never stay or recommend this disgusting motel to anyone.

Not very friendly....Treats you like a criminal....They are so scared you are gonna steal something!!! There are signs everywhere throughout the room that tells how much everything is in case it gets taken...That was such a complete insult to me and my family....Had 40 min. left before checkout and the front desk is calling rushing us out of the room so they can check it....i will never stay here again, i would rather set up camp with just a tent at a park in the middle of December!!!

This was the dirtiest room I have ever seen in my years of travel. I was amazed at how dirty the room, bed and sheets were. I immediately called the couple into the room to look at it(the lived in the room beside the one that they put me in which was also extremely dirty and creepy), they looked at it and said what's wrong. I said you have to be kidding me look at how dirty the bed is. The sheets had stains all over them and the pillows were gray they were so old and dirty. The comforter had a huge wet looking spot in the middle. I immediately left the hotel and went to another after I had unfortunately already booked through hot-wire and decided it was worth loosing my money as opposed to staying here and catching something and not sleeping. This place is a health hazard and should be closed. If you book here you will be sorry and the only way that this place has positive reviews is that it has to be the people that are running it have posted them.
