Econo Lodge Spring Lake near Fort Bragg

Stayed two nights; changed rooms three times. The motel is going through an extensive remodel (translated: other stuff is being neglected); doors not locking, properly; didn’t have towels; no hot water at the sink (valve was turned off, below); room not sufficiently cleaned; missing light bulbs; furniture handles, loose; toilet seat, loose; outlet not working (thus, refrigerator not working); shower handle fell off; trash in hallways not removed; heard footsteps & noise in room above me at 1:00am. I should have left, but the price was right, and I’m normally not too fussy. I felt sorry for the front desk staff, as they were as helpful as could be. Even the front desk area was in disarray. The breakfast was insufficient, and the eating area had only two tables. In my opinion, the place should be closed until remodeling is finished. At checkout, the clerk told me they had a shoddy crew, but have since found someone, new. One plus: the water was hot; scalding hot.

like: conveniently located. dislike: there were bed bugs. got bitten all over. checked out early.

Nothing the the breakfast was simple and air conditioners need cleaned out of moldy smell

The room was not clean, on the 3rd floor and there was no screen in the window. Floors were sticky. Staff that checked us in asked for a $10 deposit in cash after paying for the room with card, said at check out they would check the room to see if it was left in the same condition, when leaving they did not check or give me my $10 back. I was going to leave it as a tip anyway but still wasn’t given opportunity.

I dont mind staying in an older facility to save some money when traveling by myself. Most of the time the faculties are clean. They are just older hotels and a little run down. My room here was disgustingly dirty. The floor was not vacuumed before i checked in and not once during my five night stay. It was cheap though. Make you own call.

Very nice rooms, outside and hallways need upgrade

Room smelled musty and halls looked dirty. A lot of noise from the upstairs floor. Seems like they rent it to locals for long term stays.

Didn’t like anything, no room available except for a smokers room. Desk advised Expedia noros available, but they keep sending people!!

The staff at this hotel was fantastic. The hotel is undergoing a remodel & looked a little rough around the edges, but, the 3 ladies at the front desk were exceptional. We have a handicapped daughter & they treated her with the same caring & respect that my husband & I received from them, & that meant so much to us. Thank you Tina,Ebony, & Karen.
