They had a trolley that stopped at the motel and went into down town Hyannis which was free and very convenient. the pool areas were very clean and well maintained. the rooms are a little dated and needed some TLC such as lights in the bathroom that weren't working and electrical outlets that didn't work. I don't golf so can't comment on that but there seemed to be no shortage of people out on the greens! Overall it is a nice place.

Cape Cod Irish Village at The Emerald Resort & Conference Center Google review summary 4.2 715 reviews 5 ★ 4 ★ 3 ★ 2 ★ 1 ★ Reviews on other travel sites Tripadvisor 4.5/5 · 1,043 reviews Tripadvisor 4/5 · 2 reviews Reviews Search reviews Sheryl DeMello 1/5 15 minutes ago on Google Let me start by saying that I worked at this hotel when it was the 4 Points by Sheraton and the hotel was great! The current owners and mangerment team litteraly don't care! The place is run down and smells like mold! Be prepared to bring cleaning supplies and most definitely a can of lysol. I checked in the 13th and after a long day of traveling my room litteraly got changed 4x and I really had to complain to get it changed 1st room was mix match furniture and it smelled so bad ! 2nd room litteraly had mold growing on the ceiling tiles when I walked in my room! ( pictures attached ) 3rd room 360 don't stay in that room mold and mildew growing over the door to the patio door ( pictures are attached) the manager on duty that night said she could not smell anything ( what )its beyond me how your room inspector or anyone in management let's this kind of neglect happened! Finally my daughter said find my mother a room that is acceptable so after 3 more rooms she picked one out! She did say mom your gonna have to get cleaning supplies and I did ! The bathroom ceiling and walls were cracked and peeling ( pictures attached) Be prepared no trash cans on any off the floors ( strange) light fixtures in the hallways broken and cracked and yellow, ice machines filthy! Game room ( absolutely disgusting and guess what a trash can ) Inside pool never no towels and if they have some they are so old and gray. The men's bathroom the frame when you walked in is litteraly falling apart and its metaland its rusted big time! If a kid stubs his toe its definitely a hospital visit. ( Pictures attached) I must say I did meet some really nice employees ( a handful) The two guest agents who worked the weekend of the 16th were top notch . The chubby guest agent who worked the morning did not care at all and never ever smiled. My house keeper Claudia was great! The host in the restaurant was great and he was smiling all the time. The restaurant and the food! Breakfast was totally gross pancakes cold and who serves pancakes with no butter ( my server did, eggs benedict gross (the hollidanse was definitely frozen) the am servers had no personality at all! Dinner hit or missed it depend what server you get ! One server a guy with glasses never checked back and brought your drink out when your meal was half way gone. I did have a really nice server from Ireland who recommended the Shepherd's Pie and it was good, but his last night working was the 15th his visa ended. When I ordered the Shepherd's Pie again it was cold and litteraly gave up. I know its a long review and that's why I attached pictures too. The health department definitely needs to come and check out this place! The owner is definitely only cares about the money and not the guests!

Hair in the shower that was not ours, mold on grout in shower and shower curtain. Shower did not drain. Stains on towels. Tv was not working, nails very lifted on wood balcony. Mentioned something next morning as we got to the room at 10pm. Asked if we called maintenance, we did not because by time they got there would be past 11 like most hotels. Said there was nothing they could do for us as we booked through Expedia.

"Not my best experience."

6.0

I was at this hotel abut a week ago with a group trip. First let me say the hotel is quite nice, has a beautiful outdoor pool (as well as an indoor pool), a golf course, restaurant, spa, beauty salon, gym, bar with nightly entertainment, restaurant, etc. The staff are very friendly, helpful, courteous and professional. There is a hot breakfast buffet that needs work. We were there for four mornings and the hot offerings were scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, and they alternated between pancakes and French toast as well as slices of homemade bread. The "hot" food was never hot, even taking it from the bottom of the chafing dishes. On the first morning when I mentioned it to one of the wait staff, she seemed to be annoyed at my mentioning that. There was no fruit, cereal, yogurt, or muffins offered. If you wanted one of those items, it had to be purchased. I had to buy yogurt and an orange on the ferry to Martha's Vineyard so I could try to maintain my personal breakfast habits. Next the room. Apparently the hotel is in the process of renovating the rooms and unfortunately, we did not have one of the newly updated ones. The room itself is large. However, the furniture was scratched. The lamp on the night table between the beds was falling apart and I had to push the lamp against the wall to prevent the shade unit from falling over. There were no outlets on the lamp for phone charging but I do know that the renovated rooms had that. There was an outlet behind the mattress on my bed, but it was difficult to reach and my phone charger would not fit into it. There was no phone in the room (and I understand there were other rooms that did not have a phone as well). At one point I had to call the front desk and had to call them from my cell, attempting two different times of going through their automated system to reach the front desk. The air conditioning, while did eventually cool the room, did not remove the humidity. The room was constantly humid. I had laid out my clothes for the next morning and they felt damp when I went to put them on. However, the room was cleaned every day with fresh towels, coffee packets, trashed emptied, etc. If I go back to Cape Cod on my own, unfortunately, I would not choose to stay in this hotel. If you wanted to stay here, I would strongly suggest you request an updated room.
