"Good"

Definately a three star at best. Property needs an upgrade. Hardwood floors in the rooms just doesn’t do it for me. I need to stretch after back surgery and doing it on a hard wood floor is miserable. Don’t think I ever stayed at any hotel/motel that didn’t have carpeting!!

Tried to book a weekend trip last year but the ladies on the phone were very rude. Should have been my first red flag. So rude to the point I didn’t want to try again. Me and my bf were using a gift certificate we got as a gift and didn’t want to lose out on the experience so tried again for today (oct 2024). I booked for this weekend and had no issues. There was a slight issue when I got there regarding check in and the certificate (my fault) but they gave a quick solution so that was nice. Besides the area of cape cod looking run down and dirty, so did the hotel. Overall gross and grimy. Me and my bf get to our room, and we see a bedbug on the bed. See attachments, completely grossed us out. We started to move the bed around and check the sheets to see if there were more. We decided we couldn’t stay there. As quick as we got there we left even quicker. Can’t imagine if we had to actually pay considering we got a comp Weekend with our gift certificate. We would’ve demanded a refund if we had to pay. They cared more about the fact that we moved the sheets around than the fact that there was a live bug on the bed. Never in my life have I seen that. When we checked out and informed them of this and showed them pictures and videos that was moving and indeed alive they told us it wasn’t a bed bug and that it must’ve come up from outside or someone else. We were on the 2nd floor, it did not come from outside, especially not when there are other reviewers who have seen bugs. Absolutely ridiculous, will never go back to that area or the hotel no matter what, and I will ensure no one else that I know will go there either. Don’t understand the good reviews or the hype about cape cod as a whole. Very disappointed. Currently driving 6 hrs back home after taking off of work to have a nice weekend away, all for our trip to end early. P.s They wanted to give us another room but after seeing what we did I wouldn’t trust sleeping in any of the rooms they have. If we could have ran out without checking out and informing them of our complaints we would’ve. Take it from people who have been there, save your money (they seem very overpriced anyways )and plan a different trip.

"Not worth it! "

"Wedding of a lifetime"

I can't say enough great things about our wedding weekend experience! From the moment our guests arrived Cailin and the staff at the hotel made the stay and experience very welcoming. We had many guests comment on the cleanliness of the rooms and overall positive atmosphere at the hotel. Cailin and her team were tremendous with all wedding arrangements, and they always made sure we had what we needed. She was even able to help us find a mid-reception replacement DJ to help us avoid a crisis situation. The food was fantastic, and the staff was very flexible with how we chose our menu options. From start to finish we couldn't be more pleased with how our wedding was handled. Absolutely recommend!

"Best Wedding Experience"

We just got married at this hotel over the weekend and it was better than we could have ever imagined. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and had many options. The hotel has a lot to offer amenities wise, all our guests loved everything. We had an issue with our DJ and the owner and banquet manager, Cailin, worked quick and were able to get us another DJ within 30 minutes. The customer service was outstanding and we highly recommend this hotel for your next wedding or function. You will not be disappointed.

"Melody Tent stay!"

Stayed overnight at the Cape Cod Irish Village after a concert across the street at The Melody Tent. Upon arrival we were met by a very friendly staff. Our room was fine, bed comfy, property pleasant. We enjoyed dinner in the Irish Village pub where we were entertained by what seemed to be an Irish jam session by some locals. All in all, very pleasant stay and would definitely stay again.

"Two Night Stay"

Overall, our experience could have been much better. When checking in no mention of pool hours, restaurant times or checkout time. Very confusion room numbering system, we thought we were on the second floor but ended up finding out it was actually on the ground floor. The carpeting on the stairs was disgusting. The room itself was large and very clean. There are virtually no electrical outlets to use. The one outlet by the desk was full of cords for the tv, desk lamp and refrigerator. The two outlets in the lamp do not work. Luckily, I brought an outlet bar with us. Since we had to charge two laptops and two phones, it was a problem. The front desk sent someone up to investigate the nonworking phone and he also brought up another outlet bar. The is an outlet in the bathroom but only one half of it actually worked, that is where my outlet bar went. They did offer a meal plan that seems like a good deal, but we declined since we have some favorite restaurants in Hyannis that we wanted to go to. I don't think I would return here until the complete the renovations, which hopefully include the issue of electrical outlets.

"The owner, Tom McCormack goes above and beyond."

Our group has been going to The Irish Village for more than twenty years. This is the third location (the previous location was in W. Yarmouth) owned by Tom McCormack. In addition to the hotel, restaurant and bar, there is also a golf course. The indoor and outdoor pools are pristine. We have seen many improvements since our stay last year. The staff is very hardworking and accommodating. On my visit two weeks ago, I got a flat tire and was due to drive back to Brooklyn the next morning. I called Tom (who we all got to know and love) and asked for a recommendation for a tire repair shop in Hyannis. He said to leave the tire behind the front desk and he would take care of it. He actually plugged the tire in his maintenance department the following morning, an act of kindness that I will never forget. How many owners of a huge hotel would take the time out of their busy day to repair a flat tire? The answer is Tom McCormack. My husband died unexpectedly nine months ago and Tom made sure that I was going to get home safely. God Bless you Tom, and thanks again!

"AVOID"

This is the WORST and grossest hotel I have ever stayed in. When we arrived we were greeted with the smell of stale cigarette smoke in the lobby. Our room did not have a deadbolt on it, floor and door trims were missing, stained lampshades, mold on the ceiling, and a bathroom that has never been cleaned..... complete with bugs on the floor! The shower did not drain and we were up to our ankles in water. The hotel room was so gross and musty, we purchased dehumidifiers to combat the stickiness. We were here for a wedding and not by choice, by all means find somewhere else to stay even if this is the recommended hotel!!!
